We used to cruise Gratiot in the late 70s and early 80s. Not so much a thing anymore. But had a lot of fun in my youth. Gratiot auto supply and what was her name? Linda Vaughn or something like that. Autorama at cobo hall. The naias was cool before all the car companies got woke. Motorcycle shows where the same, now there gone too.

Cost way to much for trees now.
This tree has paid for itself. No needles. If I want it to smell like pine I spray tree scent.lol

I wanna go to the Lafayette Coney Island, my dad took me there as a kid. Bleacher seats at Tiger Stadium were $1.00, we would take the Grand River bus to Trumble and walk the rest of way.

OK, all very beautiful! I am compelled to jump in. Last year for this "Beach Tree" - almost all the 'pre-lit" strings have died, and I had one string of white left to pitch in. Time for a modern, LED replacement!

That's funny. Lafayette Coney Island is making a big run on my FB feeds, because of the Vernor's thread it gets mentioned on! Vernor's and a coney - real Michigan! I was too young to know what money was when I went to Brigg's Stadium, but I thought Dad and Uncle Harry were rich when they took me to Tigers Stadium. Horton, Cash, Kaline, and that crowd!

Man I feel home sick, Vernors and vanilla ice cream. We would go to every hat day, bat day, ball day. I loved growing up in Detroit.

Good choice. And you can still get Vernor's at the store! Not the same, but still, nothing like it.

We have two trees. They are a little under two feet tall and live in a box in the basement most of the year. Right now they share a small table with some pine cones and Christmas paraphernalia.
