Looking at a new 2.7 from yota shop. Anyone deal with them before? It’s $6,200 for the long block and I send my core back and get $1,000 refunded so after all that it’s $5,200 for a brand new long block. Seems worth it to me for all brand new oem parts rather than finding one at a junk yard. Also yota1 for $3,800 after the core refund. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

I just fired-up my brand new LCE stage 1.5 long block. Strong. Healthy. Cost way more than the Yota 1 but I’ve had so much luck with LCE in the past that I didn’t go searching around. They run their engines on an in-house engine dyno so you know it’s good-to-go when you instal it. It’s worth it to me to know I have an engine that runs to my expectations before I install it. Plus they’re pretty local to me so that’s nice.

As for Yota 1? Never really had any experience with them except buying some OEM parts. Seem like nice folks.

    Good luck!

I bought a yota1 2.7 engine in 2020. Still running strong. I got about 25k miles on it. No problems!

I don’t even see complete engines on their website. I only see rebuild kits.

Rebuilt. Their website say 5-6 months lead time. They didn’t have that lead time when I got mine. I think I got it around 3 weeks. So if this is a daily driver that could be a problem for you.

yep. It’s a daily driver. I’m looking at buying another truck soon so it won’t be a daily driver.

That is insane money for a basic rebuild. These are simple engines. Damn.

Yup, heck of a nice guy - but gets grumpy old man anger like some guys (my age haha). People give him a lot of grief about certain things (like the BX headlights situation when they scammed customers ane he had repped them in a video far before it going to shit). Lots of guys have been banned where if you know them it’s only a small part of what they have contributed on here.

Opting to quit TW for a year or a little more than that, I guess I missed the turbodan / Tim drama. He misdiagnosed that issue and blew his radiator cap looks like. Anyway - videos at least give more of an inside look into yota1.
