Get the necessities out and unpack the rest as you get to it / need items. Hope boxes are marked with contents...

I still have totes of stuff in storage to sort out from when I moved into my new place 10+ years ago. I peek into them every once in a while and fish something out. It’s like a time capsule. lol

When I was younger, everything I owned fit in my F-250. Clothing, ski gear, camping gear, mtn bike, tools. And now I have a full basement and garage.

Speaking of collecting crap, don’t ever put a pool table in your basement. Nice flat large surface collects more junk than a treadmill in the laundry room.

i'm keeping my kitchen stuff segregated. bathroom basics and cleaning basics too. and i have a suitcase with a few days worth of clothes packed. another suitcase will be all of my bedding including a fresh pair of sheets.
figure as long as i have a bed to sleep in and some clean PJ's and clothes I should be good.
oh, and my coffee maker. that's going in the necessities pile
and my work computer i guess.

just going to tell the moving crew that they can pile anything labeled craft/quilt/art supplies in the back room, kitchen and bath in their respective rooms and everything else can go in one giant pile for me to deal with later. i did that when i moved back from AK and it worked OK. took a while to unpack but I did a few boxes each night until it was done.
