Those are 6 1/2 speakers not 6x9's so the adapter has a 6.5" hole in the middle. The baffles were for 6.5's so that's their actual exterior dimensions on the front. I only trimmed 1/2 the back for water drips. You can see it from behind in this pic

    True story ...

Wilmington, NC ... battleship North Carolina which is now a museum (go see it if you can ... get the "Hidden Battleship" tour if you can! https://battleshipnc.com). They have the original vacuum-tube radio on board, which they finally scavenged enough tubes and other parts to resurrect.

THEN ... they called Pearl Harbor all the way from Wilmington NC.

Welcome to TW. I purchased my 2022 mainly because I did not want a 4-cylinder turbo engine. I would prefer a gasoline 8 cylinder however I will settle for a 6 cylinder.

Really need to get another CB rigged up in my Taco. Had a full set up in my JKRU before selling it, as we do a lot of rock crawling and even more camping in remote National Forrest areas and found it invaluable in certain situations.
An absolute necessity in Moab for EJS.

My thoughts exactly, love my Quicksand, but the Army green would have been my next search.

Yes I get that those are 6.5 with a 6x9 adapter- was curious why not go with 6x9 baffles so they are sandwiched between door skin and adapter vs adapter and speaker.

The speakers I got came with tape for behind the speaker but nothing for behind the adapter. So when I noticed that and the fact my stock speakers had mold I went and ordered the baffles to help address both.

I haven't had to plow for a while but from my past: The truck and especially the transmission just has to work harder. You're pushing a heavy load, going into/out of reverse constantly, and taking a lot of impacts (the plow doesn't 'roll' over bumps it hits; although it does have springs to lessen the impact). Of course just putting a plow on in and doing light plowing probably won't make a difference but a lot of plowing will wear any truck out faster.

Upcoming Winter Jamboree in Sand Hollow was the push we needed to get this done. My husband rigged up his JKU the weekend before.

Quicksand is my second favorite! But, as an old retired Army officer, how could I not go with Army Green? :D

Replaced all driveline fluids, and greased the front shaft, consistently surprised how long it takes! Had to break out the torch to help break the f’n front diff Allen key drain plug, used the opportunity to swap over to the Lexus plugs after. Redline 75w85 for front and rear diffs, Toyota 75w T-case fluid, Redline MT90 for the tranny. Also got new Wildpeak 265/70/17s loaded up.

Roof and bed rack installed over the weekend. Next weekend (weather permitting - it is December in Michigan, I have SMALL one car garage which makes working on it in the garage not easy) will be the cap rack over the bed rack and electrical for the lights. Yep ,the "Taco Dysmorphia Syndrome" (TDS) runs deep. TDS is my term for the never-ending, wallet draining modification "journey" - there's always "just a few more things" on the list...

Annual undercoating with Cosmoline RP-342 black.

Original 1st coat last year has held quite well, primarily just touch-up along welds, bends, used the rest of can as over-coat .

    If you haven't prior:
    1. Solid undercarriage wash, allow to completely dry, wire-brush any loose corrosion or remaining dirt.
    2. Wait for a non-windy moderate temp day, lay out a tarp underneath between the 4 wheels.
    3. Get some PPE, disposable gloves, goggles, mask. Wear clothes you plan to toss.
    4. Warm rattle can(s) in pot of hot water (to touch, not boiling), when ready to apply shake hard.
    5. Go bananas.
