That's why we're delaying it so far out. Going to Grand Teton/yellowstone on the way up. Straight to Glacier NP after install. Then spending a week south of Missoula looking at different towns for a potential future move. Wanted to go in summer and after many schools go back and hope NP isn't as stupid busy with family vacations. I know they'll all still be busy but maybe just maybe a little less busy with our timing

Oh thats going to be a fun one. Yeah wasnt to bad. We did Glacier NP during covid so wasnt to bad considering they only had the west entrance open. As for avoiding the tourists go to the main destinations first thing in the morning. All the tour buses start running at 9am so thats when they start getting packed.

Yeah we're entering Glacier from the east entrance plan is to go in very early and try to beat the crowd to the pass where we'll do a hike before heading down to avalanche lake to hike that. Then into Kalispell for the night.

I figured Yellowstone is what it is and just gonna be busy but we've got 3 nights and almost 4 days to catch what we can.

Think I'm most excited for Teton and Glacier TBH

Oh perfect. Let me know how the east side is. We are going back up there to do that side. Yellowstone was cool to see but Teton was way better! IMO.

Will do we're staying at Saint Mary lake. Wish we had more time but Glacier was a last minute addition and any more time up there cuts away from home/town search. If we had more time would have liked to check out lake Sherburne and many Glacier plus some more stuff on the west side.

East glacier seems to have the big perk of not as busy and traffic is better heading west on going to the sun road in the morning. . They also do not require vehicle permit for going to the sun road from east glacier. Glacier it just worked out that it made sense only having to drive going to the sun one way and not have to do it as an out and back from kalispell. So less driving time and more time to see as much as we can. The downside if you're doing an extended stay is not as much out of park activities dining shopping for the wife etc.
