    This is where I went:

It’s a bit of a drive but my frame looked better than the day I bought the truck when it was done.

From what i have read, I'm looking to go to the fluid film route, not the hardened coating. Are there products that i should be looking for specifically? I found a NHOU product that is carried by a company not to far away.

hiya folks. Dang I want those sliders. Ugh - priorities.

Related to my 'don't spend $ right now' - House 99% won't close friday. Sometime next week, we hope. Couple of reasons it's been six weeks:

Septic pipe from tank to drain field needed replacing.
Seller's agent is poor at timely responses.
    VA is involved.

Legit - There's a two-week window after an appraisal is ordered: "Only if it's been two weeks since the appraisal will we give you any status of its completion or outcome". :-/ Appraisals are sent to a pool of appraisers who take them - cannot select anyone. And of course, appraiser can railroad the whole process for things like "peeling paint on a deck" or "normal cracks or breaks in driveway concrete" no matter what the Veteran asks for. Could be the vet is going to pull down the deck and replace, or a myriad of other things - they assume the veteran is a nincompoop and relies solely upon the VA to save veterans from themselves.

Good luck for next week. Hopefully your house will close. Not that you need my advice or anything, but hiring a moving company during my last move is probably my single best purchase ever.

I’d keep an eye out as people get ready to trade in 2nd and 3rd gen’s for the 4th gen you’ll probably see some good deals!

Thanks man - I cannot stomach $3500 or more for a 40 mile move. Plus extra fees because the moving vans cannot get close to the house because they'd have to drive through the corn crib to get to it. I haven't measured it, but I'm guessing a full-size moving truck wouldn't make it.

    here's the approach:

Ours took a while but that
'S because we started the process at the end of October, and my six-year mark was in November of that year, so we had to wait for the HRC to tick over the retirement year calculator to submit. Minor issues found and corre ted, but our appraisal came in at a single dollar more than asking. They really hooked us up.

They are... My house is a USDA loan and had to make a repair list to "clear to close" One was GFCI's, which yea, that's legit. But, due to the age of the house and the possibility of lead there was some peeling paint on the trim in the carport at the time. But if the appraiser knew anything he'd know that work was done in the past 5 years. o_O

I've had them come in AT asking - which meant no closing costs pulled into the loan. We had to scramble to beg and borrow from family last minute. The guy wouldn't go $3000 over asking "to protect us from buying a $182000 house for a whopping $185000. :-/

the pic didn’t load but I think I remember now seeing it and you talking about no movers.

Dang, sorry to hear that. That’s a lot more than I remember paying but that was 6-7 years ago.

For this house, built around 1900 has very few GFCIs. It has very few outlets period. And I'm okay with it. They are where they need to be - near water - but the inspector "cautioned" a bunch of stuff...like "No light switch in the bedroom!" Because it's a log room w/o overhead light. Hanging overhead lighting in there would make me hit my head and ruin the aesthetic in my oppinion.

    I fixed it. Thanks.

We paid $7700 from OKC to MD with a 'budget' moving company. :-/ I did 2-men-and-a-truck estimate for this move and it was $3000 - but movers always show up and say "Whoa, this is more than you said on your estimate!" And we don't have much, really. One sofa. two buffet tables. Two bedroom sets. Maybe 20 boxes of books is the most labor-intensive thing.
