I get that point of view but with how football has transformed the QB is the most critical, most utilized, and most pressured to perform in all manners of ways so it’s sort of expected that a qb would wind up being the most outstanding. Teams don’t rely on RBs as much anymore and every other position is a committee.

Anymore? Since 2000 you can count non-QBs on one hand. Been trash for a while :(

They're important, don't get me wrong. But there's a reason Heisman winners (particularly at QB) don't seem to last long in the NFL anymore. I'm a Michigan fan and still think Marvin Harrison Jr is going to have a much more successful career in the NFL than Jayden Daniels and would argue he's probably a more outstanding player too. But that's my opinion and I don't get a vote.

He wasn’t even the top receiver

yes I know he won the biletnikoff, by name alone lol.

very few players truly live up to their hype though, so to just say QBs isn’t very fair.

Devonta smith hasn’t exactly been amazing and he won the heisman

Can you tell this to Auburn? lol They haven't stopped running the ball since Bo Jackson, and I think they're still under the impression that it works like it used to :notsure: Even their only Heisman winner since, at QB, was a runner.. (Cam).

Stats don't always tell the whole story. When opposing defenses are scheming for one specific person, it also says a lot. Just ask the Detroit Lions about Aiden Hutchinson. He's being double teamed and held on nearly every play because the opposing teams know no one else on that line is anywhere near as effective as Hutch.

That’s why I mentioned Devonta Smith specifically. He was the ONLY target during the Covid year for Bama. So don’t use that as an excuse for bad stats. Also McCord isn’t a bad QB like OSU fans like to claim. MHJ is great, but he’s only the most hyped WR ever because of his name, he hasn’t proven it.

I definitely agree about McCord. CJ Stroud was a tough act to follow and McCord needed more development. I can't believe he's considering Nebraska though.

As for MHJ, like I said, it's my opinion and I don't get a vote so it doesn't really matter. I've seen him make some ridiculous catches on highly contested balls. I wish Michigan had one receiver who could do that. Roman Wilson and Cornelius Johnson have made one or two but nowhere near as consistently as MHJ.

No disagreement from me, but Odunze and Nabers had more and equally as impressive contested catches this year over MHJ and for some reason weren’t given as much credit.

Haha I can click on it and make it larger. So true though. He was ass but defended his Alma mater so much by saying FSU didn’t deserve to be in

Jamon Dumas-Johnson in the portal from UGA. That’s a huge (and VERY surprising) loss

That was expected. Didn’t participate In senior day. BVG left. No surprise.
Now Raiola has announced he’s officially flipping to Nebraska. Also not surprising - and I’m not too upset. I think anyone upset is forgetting how good Gunner Stockton was coming out of HS.

Stockton was a stud. Also the other qb kid(pugs) who is committing to UGA looks good.

Puglisi is already on campus. Early enrollee. Should be practicing with the team for bowl prep.
