I don’t think they offer it with the four door cab? I went to Nissans site to check and I literally could not figure it out.

Don’t forget to add in the “dealer adjustment”

That would be my choice if available. Wife has a '21 Limited Nightshade T4R and it looks awesome with the chrome blacked out.

I actually did just that, one can get a similarly equipped 4x2 Ranger XLT High with Technology package, 360 degree monitor, spray-in bed liner, running boards, dual zone, towing package, etc. for $40K on X-Plan.

The closest Tacoma is the Sport at $52,168. Part of the reason for this is the 360 camera can only be specced on the $8000 premium package which forces softex and a trailer brake controller, but other than that, it's the only major build difference I can see. in my use case the 360 cam is very important

Been a Toyota and Honda owner all my life but starting to feel squeezed out at this point.

I don't see any mention of the center differential on the Limited that provides full-time 4WD (like the T4R Limited). I thought the '24 Tacoma would have this.

Not really apples to apples, Toyota doesn't have a Partner Program similar to AXZD plans.

GMC Canyon Denali is $53,805 with trailering package. Tacoma Limited is $53,595.

The Lariat with advanced tow and FX4 is $50,724, so it is indeed a few thousand cheaper than the Tacoma TRD OR or Sport with Premium package. But you also aren't getting everything the Tacoma has.

For my old broken-down ass where off-roading means I accidentally drove 2" in the grass backing out of the driveway, the Limited would probably be the one I would choose. In its standard configuration it is already loaded with all the options I want and then some. With all the features it has the price isn't that terrible IMO.

If they offered a Nightshade version it would really tempt me to buy one.

How is it not apples to apples? Even without X-plan it's still a $10K spread, with the only difference being leather and a trailer brake.

The new Taco is a great looking truck and I know what I'd buy if price wasn't an object, but $10K means something for many.

You're comparing options not trim levels. The Canyon AT4 competes against the TRD OR and the Pro 4X. Just because you need x option or y camera or z interior doesn't equate to the guys who come up with the content packages to give apples to apples for each trim.
What if I wanted a V6? Do I just not look at GMC or Toyota and only shop Ford and Nissan?
I do agree Toyota is stupid the way they package options though, oh you want the 360 camera, you need this package.

When doing the configurator it does not give the option for a 2WD. Only 4WD - So guessing that confirms the Auto 4WD.

The US configurator isn't "public" yet either. I.e. you can't navigate to it from the Toyota.com web page. If you pick the 2023 configurator and change the URL to 2024, it works. Can't do the equivalent with the Canadian site because the menus are driven by script.

Dealer adjustment will be less this time around. I think Toyota saw the actual transaction prices the last couple of years and decided to raise the MSRP closer to market price.

Having purchased a new TRD OR AC in 2021 I am always amused by these configurators.
IMO, the only purpose they serve is to give someone an idea of the price for a new vehicle in some preferred displayed color(s) and options then including the statement "Request a quote" at the end.

What you get is a request to come provide a deposit on a new truck, then a list of allotted vehicles coming into the given dealership for you to pick from after you provide that deposit.
Don't get me wrong, I like this method of purchasing, but the configurator gives you the idea that you can actually customize a Tacoma. Maybe. If you want to wait a long time. Or ......

    Happy Taco Tuesday!

TRDOR doesn't give a 2wd option either so not sure this is accurate.

When I used the Jeep configurator a little while back, at the end it gave a list of dealers (within xx miles of a zip code) ranked with vehicles "most similar to your build". If and when Toyota gets the production numbers up it would make more sense.
