No, but there’s a lot of other differences between the TB collie and the TRDOR tacoma. The heated seats was but one example.

And the fact that a Silverado WT is not comparable spec wise to a Tacoma.

I wish Toyota offered a Trail Boss trim level though. Factory lift that isn't the TrailHunter $60,000 truck.

Okay i just posted one for sale right now for $40k because they get discounted and not marked up with dealer adjustments like the new Taco will be early on. Compare real world price.

I don’t think comparing real world price makes much sense in the frenzied early days of a new generation release. Real world prices today are distorted due to acute shortages, which are temporary

Why stop there, why would I buy the Chevrolet when I can get a Ram 2500 for $45,000 with a real manly V8 that isn't some lawnmower engine?

Trail Boss is a direct competitor to a SR5/Trail edition

All great options compared to the $50k 4th gen Taco.

True, but MSRP is already high for the 4th gen Tacoma without a dealer "market adjustment". That MSRP is not coming down and Toyota dealers don't usually do discounts like that. Usually you have to hunt around just for a Toyota dealer to give you @ MSRP for non new generations.

I didn’t see the TRD lift kit, was really curious to see what that was going to cost.

Also didn’t see the option for 33” tires(18” wheels) on the OR model.

But that $45,000 Ram is a base model. If I wanted the loaded one like the Tacoma I have to spend $73,000+.

However let us discuss the AEV Ram for a minute. You think a $60,000 ARB filled TrailHunter is a lot, check out the $135,000 Ram truck!

A great deal for sure and anyone who can handle a Tundra in their life should really look at them and compare.

How about a power seat and sliding rear window? Oh sorry, that's an extra $5k.

The Colorado I would get prices out to $36,510. It's the WT 4WD with the 310-hp/391torque engine, trailering package which has locking rear diff, bigger alternator, etc. Feature wise it is under a Tacoma SR, but you can't get the SR with the more powerful engine and all around the SR/SR5 is lesser for towing. I need a truck, and this pricing is more where I was hoping the Tacoma would come in, not $6K more for lesser truck. Plus, local dealers are many thousands under MSRP on Colorado. Good luck y'all, but for my needs, the gen4 is a bust. Hurts to say it, as I currently own two 2022 Toyota's (Rav4 Hybrid, Corolla Cross AWD) and two prior to that (Avalon, Camry). Last shot is to see what deals are on Tundra's, new or gently used, but the Tundra is really too big, more than I need. Colorado (or Canyon) trucks suit my trucking needs for less cash. And I can custom order to get what I want, not the allocation BS.

I paid $36,500 for my new '23 TRD OR DC AT 4X4 base with LED and all weather floormats (MSRP+Delivery - $4000 discount). No addendums or dealer doc fees. The cheapest SR 2 door 4X4 is now about $36500, and an equivalent TRD OR with the power seat and rear slider is $48K. Even without factoring discounts on '23s, and dealer mark up on '24s, you are still looking at a 20-25% price increase.

Meanwhile, back in reality, the YoY CPI for November is 3.1%, and new cars were only 1.3% YoY.

That’s about what I’m seeing with FB broker dude. I’m waiting for the 2024 Tundras to pile up mid year, then the 2.9% incentives start. Or they don’t. Everything car related is so wonky and convoluted these days.
