I'll put up some tentative dates in the next day or so.

Sounds like you have a good route. I'll pm you to work out details for planning to put in this post.

Its how we use to do it. I have ran it about 4 times but Jeep andrew has ran it multiple times and can take the trail lead job.

There are no bypasses to the obstaces. Atleast the last time I did it over 5 years ago. For the most part it is a fairly bumpy dirt road. Has a gate keeper. Then carpet hill is basketball size boulders. Some off camber stuff on dirt with areas you will get pinstrips on. All in all 33's minimum with sliders. Let me see if I can find the old thread with photos.

Forgot to check the page in that thread, but it had a good video of a good part of the trail. Looks like it will be bumpy with a few little obstacles? I'm in and already excited about it!

@JeepAndrew just confirmed he is in for the Rug road trip. He will probably meet us at the trail head saturday morning. He only lives like 30 min from there.

Awesome! @JeepAndrew if you don't mind I'd like to steal some of the info from your post to put here. I think we're going to only do the 4x4 required (harder) route.

He isnt on here much anymore. If he does pop up atleast he will be tagged and know where to look. As for permission I will allow it as I am a Andrew too. He wont care. We will be doing both routes. Going in the 4wd way then out the 2wd way. Just like CK.

And a edit: He said more than likely he will join us for camping at the trailhead.

Which side is the trail head for Rug road? The east or west end? I might be able to make the Rug Road trip…
