Has anyone actually installed this yet? Please share your thoughts, if so. Really curious if this is the noise "fix" or not. And to his point below, is there any noticeable trade off with decreased precision.

RUBBER ISOLATOR PAD KIT FOR HURST STICKS ANTI-VIBRATION NVH REDUCTION
"Hurst shifter stick isolator kit. If you are experiencing mild vibration and noise transmitted through the shifter stick, this kit will reduce the behavior. It probably won't eliminate it, as this kit does not achieve the same level of isolation as a stock shifter, but it is usually worthwhile. However understand that any isolation will reduce shift quality and precision, and so it should only be done when necessary, and is NOT recommended for competitive driving or other high-stress situations."

I have the isolator kit installed.
Pretty much as stated in your post - it reduces the noise, but doesn't get rid of it. You will notice reduced shift "precision" over the core shifter without the isolator kit, but not too much.
    IMO, it's worth the tradeoff.

Cool! Been going back and forth between B&M and Core. For the Iso Kit, did you choose the long screws with the back nuts or just screws and Loctite?

Just ordered mine. I'm pretty happy to get rid of the stock floppy shifter. Didn't bother with the isolator kit, mechanical noise is nice and mud terrains lol.

My shifter showed up and I got it installed today. I'm very very impressed, install wasn't hard at all. Honestly I don't know what all the noise complaints are about, I can barely hear mine. I love it.20231212_155940.jpg

Just installed mine too. That TEKTON 12mm 1/4" drive universal joint socket was the key for me, ha. That and reading and rereading this thread. Took about me about an hour to get it done. I do have a question for @7r41lbr34k3r how does one get a replacement collar? It cracked when I was finishing up.

I prefer tall, laid-back shifters. I'm gonna swap out the stick on mine for an 8022 at 12-in Tall - 7.5-in Setback. Got it for cheap on fleabay. Keep in mind, I have a 4-banger which is a completely different position than the V6.

The 4-banger Core Shifter came with the 10-in Tall - 5.5-in Setback 4106 stick

I'm the opposite, I wanted my shifter further away from my tall water bottle in my cup holder. That will be interesting. Ah nvm I missed the 4cyl part of this

Just got back from a test drive, ha, its a completely different experience now. I do understand the comments about mechanical noise when shifting now but I don't hear anything else. I also did the sound deadening wrap just as a precaution though.

You can’t unfortunately, I asked him if he had any extras because I lost mine :( best bet would be to find somebody to 3D print or mill one out of aluminum

I'm having a thought here. I typically leave my manual vehicles in first gear when I park. But being that this shifter has cross gate springs in it I'm thinking thats a bad idea? This morning I noticed it's a touch harder to push the shifter to the right then the left. What are your thoughts on this people? Should I just go back to using the e brake like a normal person.

Or perhaps it was like that when I installed it and I didn't notice, since it needs to go further to the left then the right to make reverse. How do your shifters all feel left to right? Or a third thought is that leaving it in first accelerated the spring break in on one side and the right side will match it after I drive in 6th gear for 20 hours. Haha either way the shifter is awesome.

Update. Left it in 5th last night and the spring pressure going right matches going left now. Obviously just the springs breaking in a bit. God damn late night overthinking lol. I'll leave it in 3rd when I park now.
