True story. When my grandfather died my uncles were going through his garage and in one area he had stacks of brand new boxes of spark plugs. Like hundreds of them. They literally fought over who would get which spark plugs based on what engines they had that needed them. They were so excited. Well, when it came time to needing a spark plug one uncle grabbed one of the boxes and found it contained an old dirty spark plug. My grandfather put all of the old plugs he just removed in the boxes the new ones came in and placed it on this shelf for some reason. Did it for DECADES. Not one single box had a new plug in it.

It's hard for me to throw away boxes as well because if I ever go to sell it, having the box ups it's value. But my place isn't organized and clean. It's full of large empty boxes!

Found an edge guard material that matches the bed liner texture. OCD is happy. Paint is protected if the antenna gets floppy. All I have to do is tune this dang CB and I am done done done. C- time. Work sucked today.

That is gorgeous. Wow! I'm gonna be doing that if I trim my bumper. Amazing look.

    Health check at Toyota ...

Oil was refilled by me enough apparently. Goodyear AverageTraction shoes at 8, front brakes at 8 and rear brakes at 4. Tires rotated.

I have a small 1-car garage so do not want to put it on stilts right now.

That’s funny, I had that same conversation with myself as I was doing the layout.:rofl::rofl:

I’m actually planning on getting a steel high clearance bumper and winch in the future and if I would’ve mucked it up I would’ve just been placing my order sooner rather than later.

Finally wrapped up my fuse panel + relay project. It’s still not hooked up to the battery as I’m waiting for those materials to arrive. However, I’ve hooked it up a few times for temporary testing and troubleshot everything. Only issues I had were two flipped wires on one relay and I had also combined two grounds that needed to not be wired that way. Built it using a Blue Sea fuse panel, an MTA relay block, lots of Deutsch connectors, and a sheet of 1/4” ABS.

Everything functions exactly as I intended:
    • Under-hood KC Cyclone V2 lights turn on with a little under-hood flip switch on left fender
    • Amber Rigid ditch lights turn on with manual switch in cab
    • Rigid SAE high beam/driving light bar bright mode comes on automatically with truck high beams
    • Light bar bright mode can manually be turned on at any time as well with dash switch
    • Light bar dim mode comes on only when truck’s parking lights are on AND a switch on the dash is turned on (so that it’s only on at night, and only if I choose) (“auxiliary power” switch, looking for alternatives)
    • Rigid SRQ backup lights in bumper can be manually turned on (they already automatically come on as well)

Thanks, it’s not really a write up as I haven’t detailed out what all I did to make it happen, though I do plan to write out all the specific details in the “show off your fuse panel” thread and I’ll link to that here once that’s done. I’m waiting for final hookup to battery for a fully completed install before I share to that one. Appreciate the kind words, it was a ton of effort but it came out how I wanted so it was worth it.

That’s definitely good information to look for in that thread.

The extra effort to share the process is greatly appreciated.
