2wd AC is 33k and 2wd DC is over 35k. I built an SR DC with 4wd and bed cleats being the only options and it was 38.5K... Not sure what I am missing.

36k for a stripper 2wd with TTL seems rich IMO.

Thanks for linking the configurator though, didn't realize it was up.

With pricing like this, 4G is dead to me and I’m gonna be eyeing LC if they’re ever available at MSRP while I am still above ground. 3G broke me of ever wanting a stick again (at least in a truck). Holy guacamole..

Tundra is the winner for me.

No Tacoma SR DCLB, so had to bump up to the SR5 in the Tacoma.

Couldn’t get heated seats in the Tundra SR, but not a deal breaker, haven’t needed them the last 40 years of driving, can live without them for the next 40 (highly doubt I’ll be alive then anyways. lol!)

Base(ish) models have more than enough options for me.

Tundra does have the 22 gallon tank vs the Tacos 18. Could get a 32.2 in the Tundra, but looking to spend $4000 or so to get it, have to bump to a SR5 Convenience package.

I'd rather have a midsizer, but money talks. It's a compelling conversation and one I will surely have once the time to move on is afoot.

More about the specs than anything, and how much money gets you what, will take less convenience for more truck for similar dollars. 317 vs 405 TQ, 6500 vs 8000 lbs towing, 1400 vs 1800 lbs payload. Have been on the cusp of needing a full-size for years now. Keeping the 3rd Gen so we will have both, wife will get it. Still going to wait a year to see how it all plays out, my guess the Tundra can be had even cheaper.

What is interesting the Tacoma SR/SR5 have mpg listed at 26 HWY, but the other trims don’t. The higher trims must weigh a heck of a lot more, and the larger tires make it take a hit.

I would think the 4WD and bigger tires are what killed the mpgs. What’s going to happen when people put on more aggressive tires, roof racks, kayak racks, ladder racks, roof top tents, etc. The mpgs are going to plummet if that little 4 banger is working hard to keep highway speeds.

It most certainly will, since most people do that, just look at all the 3rd Gen threads complaining about poor mpg. And the reasoning is because of the mods they do. They get half way decent mileage if you run 245s street orientated tires on them, but the Bros egos will not let them do such a thing.

At least they gave the 4th Gen a long range tank, oh wait! :D

I can’t wait to see the real world mpgs on the highway doing 80mph.

And the complaints of it with no topend.

Truck King was saying it gets wheezy at higher speeds.

Overall I think it is going to be a great evolution of the platform, but there always be things that we nit pick. Which is warranted for how much these things cost. I mean… I have to work for my money, and super picky how I choose to spend it. A lot of other options out there now if Toyota can’t fill the wants and needs.

Looking at the SR5 trim, glad they have an all black interior option. Kinda tones it down a bit…that dash is growing on me.

Travis Pastranas friend from Nitro Circus. There’s another video of the two of them driving the PRO. Definitely need a $70K truck to drive those dirt roads. LOL

Ahhh…I don’t follow them much. More into hard enduro, with guys like Jarvis, Bolt, Taddy, Walker.

Most of those guys haul the bikes in 2WD commercial vans. Pickups are kind of pointless.

At least the 3G wasn't as disappointing as them never actually landing on the moon.

Stolen from Tacoma4G. I know the gen 4 is closer so it jacks with perception, but damn it looks a lot larger. Like it is on steroids...
