Good morning. Music lesson today and rake up some leaves that have blown into the outdoor cooking area. I try to do one or more small projects a day around the house.

Welcome Mully, Somebody said rules? There are no stinking rules.

And coffee? I get powdered cappuccino made by Hills Brothers online. Then doctor it with an additional shot of instant coffee. I don't claim to know anything about coffee, or care much. All I want is something that tastes good to me and I can share with my girlfriend (wife), and the cappuccino does that for me. Only drink it three times a week because of the calories and strange effects on the kidneys. And it's decaf due to my uncontrolled (but under control) AFIB. The wife uses caffeinated coffee in hers.

For those of you have had cataract surgery: If you wear glasses for vision correction (both eyes) and you get the lens implant procedure that removes cataract and corrects vision on one eye, what do you do for glasses now that you only need correction in one eye? Contact lens maybe?

The whole point of getting the surgery was to get rid of the need for glasses. And after getting the wrong lens implanted, I still need glasses for anything within arms reach.

Seriously... I would never have had the surgery if I had understood what the after effects would be. My eyes are always tired/sore. The lack of peripheral vision makes it seem like I'm looking down a tunnel. It's not terrible, but it's enough to feel confined. And although I was informed and understood that my near vision, which I enjoyed very much doing close up work, would be negatively impacted... combined with the other negatives that loss is aggravating. There have been some effects that have diminished (hundreds of dark floaters) and eventually I may get used to the results, but I regret having the surgery. I'd rather wear glasses full time.

Interesting, I had cataract surgery in 2010 and again in 2012 and absolutely love the results. That said, I went with the Crystalens option (yeah, they ain't cheap) so with the exception of needing to pull a tiny splinter from my finger or reading super fine print, I don't wear glasses at all.

Hey bud, sorry I've been over busy at work, I haven't been on here the last couple of weeks much.. Get me what you can and I'll get it to Tom with a question. He might not be back down till after Christmas now, he gets busy up there with personal life things about this time of year.

    Happy Holidays!

Try to learn the meaning of the word "Senility":

An elderly man went to his doctor and said, 'Doc, I think I’m getting senile. Several times lately, I have forgotten to zip up.'

'That's not senility,' replied the doctor. 'Senility is when you forget to zip down.'
