    Update on the house:

VA is full of shit. They appraised it at $30,000 less than our agreed-upon price. Also listed a few completely-un-related-to-value things that must be corrected. Here's the thing: The sellers agreed that if WE fix the list, they'll accept the lower amount. So we're saving $30k on this place. I don't yet have the list, though my relator said nothing is going to be hard to do - and she'll show up on a work-day to complete them. Once I get the list, if anything looks beyond my skillset, I'll ask the group if anyone can help. More to follow...

Let us know where you went to eat. I haven't eaten in Lawrenceville since the mid to late 1980s, when it was still a blue collar neighborhood of those whose ancestors were German and Polish. That's a long time ago.

As I have posted here, before I married my wife and moved out of the county, I was an eastern Allegheny county guy. So, I don't know much about that part of the city, let alone any new places. I am a traditional kind of pizza guy. Some of those aren't.

I checked them out online. 4.7 out of 5 rating. They have what they call a "Roman" cut and describe it as "square." I wonder if that is like a Sicilian cut? It's a little pricey, but what isn't today?

Mineo's and Vincent's were the go to. I have a story about Vincent that I think I have told here. It's about a group of teens eating one of his loaded with toppings pizza. Vincent left from behind the counter to use the bathroom, only to return with flour still on his hands. When my friend yelled this out, Vincent gave us the boot out of his place, along with plenty of curse words. If we wanted to stay local, once we moved to Monroeville, we would pick up Conca D'oro, on route 286. It was the stay near home favorite. My brother still goes there weekly.

Lol , yea I remember you telling that. I remember as a kid with my dad eating there seeing him making pizzas smoking a cigarette with a long ash on the end of it. Did the ash fall .......

Edit , however the pizza was great ! Place was packed .

LOL. He always had a ciggy in his mouth. If you didn't get ash from that, it was on the bottom of the pizza. I think his oven was coal fired back in the day when it wasn't the "in" thing. I know, there was always a black ash on the bottom of the pizza. I assume it was from coal. Could have been wood fired.

And nothing on that list has anything to do with appraising the value of the home. The inspector saw the same house and found nothing critical; nothing catastrophic if we didn't fix it.

Looking at those pics, that space seems more like a mechanical acsess trough . Crawlspace could be like 3 foot high , then lights and outlets maybe required , can u actually crawl down through there ? How high is it ?
