We're shop guys at the end of the day, not salesman. I thought you might like seeing a little of what we do when we're not getting orders out the doors.
A few months ago Matt got a '23 Raptor and we have been slowly adding our products and other mods to it...our goal is a truck that can do the trails at Overland Expo and also hit up King of the Hammers. We're starting slow...the big mods happening next year. This week we installed one of our universal MOLLE tech plates. Its 7.5"x10" and we specifically sized this one for installation on the underside of the center console lid of the F-150; however, you could really mount this anywhere. We had to use the larger spacers in the kit to create enough clearance to be able to mount stuff to it. What was interesting is that some guys do a "10 Cent Mod" where you wedge two nickels behind the springs to add more pre-load so the center console stays up better. We tried it...turned into a 20 cent mod. We're actually thinking of getting or making stronger springs so its not an issue. Its a little floppy with the added weight of the tech plate and all the goodies strapped to it.

Absolutely, but they'll be keto donuts. You'd be better off eating the sawdusty laptop box that got put on my desk.

We'll just take the cash for the prize box, with a small fee for processing, handling, and storage

We just got our Spirit GLC Hybrid Dual by GCC LaserPro up and running the other day because of some software compatibility issues. I spent most of the day "testing" the capabilities of the machine so I can only guess what kind of trouble I'd get into with a plasma or waterjet table. I can tell you that the laser will cut kaizen foam, thin HDPE, and laminate. It puts holes in cardboard but I didn't have any thin wood to test on that. We have a gimbal to do round stock but the cable wont reach the computer so we have to wait to test that one.

Oh that's sweet - our laser engraver is very basic. We could do some damage on what you just got.

Its definitely dangerous with the plasma table and the 3D printers. Basically anytime we have an idea we throw it into CAD and make a prototype. Not all things we'd sell, some are as basic as a 3D printed label dispenser or a bracket to hold one of our universal panels to a PACKOUT tool box. Then sometimes its cool enough to tease to customers and if there's enough interest we bring it to production. If only we had the time to tinker and develop all day!

If they're anything like the gluten free donuts, I completely agree!

    New poll.

I'm not sure when I figured out Santa. I'd say around 8-10. I remember going to bed and hearing my parents getting stuff out, that did it for me.

Today we are working out of the home office of R.T. Green Plumbing & Heating.
    ..
    . it's cold at the office ... :(

    KIMG3693.jpg

I have treaded miles of black iron pipe - using a machine...
    This method is more work.

    KIMG3700.jpg

Cut to length, the cutter is probably 70 years old.

    KIMG3699.jpg

The inside burr needs to come off, you can use a file - the hard way.

    KIMG3701.jpg

Or use a countersink with a drill, much easier. I do the final cut with the red deburr tool on the left.

    KIMG3702.jpg

I do the outside with a flat file.

On to the treading, this 1/2" pipe is pretty easy to work with as long as your cutter is in good condition.

They last a long time if you don't loan them out... :smack:

    KIMG3696.jpg

As the chips build up you need to reverse direction and clear them out.

    KIMG3695.jpg

It is important to keep your tool clean & well lubricated at all times.

(Insert smart @$$ remark from @Delta09 here... :fistbump: )

This is the lube, "clear" is used for hand threading "dark" is for power threading.

    KIMG3694.jpg

Clean the chips out between every cut, if you don't the next thread will be all ripped up and you can damage the cutters.
Notice the numbers on the cutters, each one makes a progressively deeper cut.

    KIMG3706.jpg

    Nice clean threads.
For those who don't know, pipe threads are tapered so they wedge the parts together, bolt threads are straight.

    KIMG3697.jpg

A luxury of the tri stand is that you can assemble some of your work there and not have to chase it around while trying to tighten it.

    KIMG3698.jpg

The box is to catch the chips & oil drips.
