    So, test the brakes.

The real achilles heel in those things are the front brakes as the caliper+rotor combination leaves a lot to be desired especially under aggressive driving and braking.

Aside from that, just make sure everything works.

I have the air bag system on mine, and I do plan to remove it but my setup actually works too and doesn't leak or anything. Automatically lowers in height as you reach a certain speed and all.

There are two stereo systems, the base model with no screen (what I have) and the nav system with upgraded audio. Subwoofer ripping itself apart is pretty common and a lot of people replace it with those affordable Skahr subs.

It's a 2UZ so just normal 2UZ checklist; it's a 4th Gen 4Runner basically so of course check the frame for rust and all especially the rear lower control arm areas.

You know what, I just have to go through the scenic areas and stay out of the shit you see on TV with the empty bottles of moonshine littered across the front yard and shooting cars

@CS_AR posts some awesome pics of trails he's gone through and it makes me wanna check it out

Sounds good. Thanks. It’s got the nav, which …meh. Looks like it’s a pain to replace as well.

I poked my head under it and saw zero rust, seems very clean.

Everyone is issued a banjo upon crossing the border into the state. Makes going to Walmart, a favorite state pastime, a musical and shockingly memorable experience.

    Various poorly done welds.
In Canada, there are wide swaths of land, prime for de-forestation, and thus the creation of 4-wheeling trails.

Way more comfortable than the Tacoma and 4Runner ever were.

Way more comfortable than the Land Cruiser stock seat.

Less comfortable than the Sparco I put into that thing.

I've put multiple 4-6hr straight drives in it and it's been really good to me.

The brakes by the way, can be swapped out for GX460/5th Gen 4Runner calipers. I think up to a 2010 model....the information is out there. I have yet to do it but will do when I need to.

I didn't realize crack was popular with our neighbors to the north.
