that being said, Fidelity is fine for me. Only crappy thing is it doesn’t let you gamble hard with daily plays. Best you can do is weeklies. Gamble at your own risk!

 

Totally understandable. If I do anything it’ll just be smaller amounts that is strictly set aside for “fun” money. I might dip my toes with the paper trading that I think Schwab has with ToS and go from there.

Saw that. I was impressed. Also, there are paper trading platforms, can easily go back in and say "on X date I did Y, yes, I did, trust me". But it's posts like that, which promote gambling addictions and bad decisions.

I can attest to fidelity being trash. I have it now that TD went to Schwab. Their options screens are not intuitive at all. Look elsewhere.

 

For setting options trades that are "in your best interest" I like the Think or Swim which is now Schwab..
However I am also now able to set the trailing stop options orders on the IOS fidelity app. I think I might have had to enable some expanded trading setting or something..

I only traded a handful of options, and I REALLY liked the TD Ameritrade native website for it, don't recall their app at all, but I think it was fine. ToS was a great format, I just wasn't used to it. If I was going to be more active, I would absolutely consider ToS a selling point in going to Schwab.

I was interested in Fidelity, and FSKAX anyway, so it was a pretty easy decision to go there instead of move to Schwab for me. But their options interface is a hot mess, so if I was going to be more involved in it, I would absolutely look at Schwab for ToS, I think (I THINK) the Robinhood interface is good, too. I haven't used it but have seen it, but there are reasons to avoid RH otherwise.

Looks like Schwab's ToS offers paper trading, so i can give that a go to get a feel for the platform before diving in. I have zero plans on turning into the special kind of person that lives over on wsb

 

A triple leveraged fund and the leveraging of options will do that. That's what makes options so damn good. The total loss is the premium. The total return is unlimited. lol

 

New 'puter day. I've got the lights set up so they change colors as the CPU warms up, so that's kinda fun. I had them set on "lightning storm" but it was epilepsy inducing.

I think I read the post, he said (claimed) he cashed them out. Probably kicking himself now, but I'd probably bail at half a mil too.

 

There was another that turned $20k worth of FSLR calls into $1.2 million as well

 

YUp...prob had the $150 calls for friday...They're up $1000 ea today...If you bought $10K worth of leaps at $135 early this week that was 1,000 contracts...They were <$30 ea on tuesday...

 

annnnnnd Boom goes the banks.
