Cowboys at 49ers in the divisional round? Looks not only possible but likely.

Agreed. Buffalo still has a good chance to win the division based on this trend. That last game will be in Miami and if the Bills go 2-1 and the Dolphins go 1-2 it would determine who wins it. If they tie the series and tie records Miami has the tie breaks after head-head.

49ers yes! Cowboys got a lot of losing yet to do. They haven’t had their season meltdown yet.

All 4 undefeated isn’t happening. All 8 being there is unlikely at best. As for what happens wc weekend we’ll see.

Obviously upsets will happen. Just thought the list was interesting and wanted to light a match under the Cowboys vs 49ers smack talk.

Yup my Chefs gotta get receivers that can line up ON side, get at least some separation, and :rimshot:

catch the GD football. They have benefitted from bad calls and gotten screwed by them.

A team that can't allow more than 20 points because the offense is anemic?

    Ain't goin' bowlin' . . .

Ok, now that Dallas done tripped the Eagles out of the 1 seed I can go back to trashing them. Thank goodness, my puke warning was at defcon 2.

    Belichick Out......

In an unexpected turn of events that signals the end of an era, the New England Patriots are reportedly preparing to bid farewell to their legendary head coach, Bill Belichick. Sources close to the team have indicated that owner Robert Kraft is actively seeking a successor for the 2024 season, marking the conclusion of what many consider the most triumphant era in NFL history.

Do you think he’ll retire or go elsewhere? Maybe someplace warmer like SD? Kudos to the Pats, a magnificent chapter in the NFL. It’s effing hard to achieve success even once.

Been a lot of rumors going around here in New England. None of them have been confirmed but it looks like it’s going to happen

I really don’t know what to think of Belichick. Was it him? Was it Tom? Was it those two together at the right time in the NFL? Guess that will be debated for a long time.

All of the above and then some.

I will believe it when I see it. Certainly not out of the question though.

If he has his way I think Bill does continue coaching in the league though.

I'm thinking it was a bit of both. Tom is definitely the GOAT but he was only ok when he played at Michigan, thus why he was a 6th round pick. He was on the 1997 national championship team, but he was the backup.

I think he was taught a few new things and was moldable enough to soak them in unlike anyone else Belichick has had. This, in my opinion, is also why Brady went on to be successful in TB while Belichick struggled in NE.

I don't watch college ball but very likely his coaches there didn't work on his game like Bill and company. Or maybe he wasn't ready. Chicken/egg thing

I just think he was right place and right time and willing. He was on the 1997 Michigan national championship team but he was the backup.

I think the biggest reason the best college QBs flop in the NFL is their moldablity. The best college QBs play a very different style than the best NFL QBs. It doesn't translate very well to the NFL. The best NFL style QBs don't tend to get the same attention because they're more reliant on solid principles while the college QBs thrive in the disparity between the competition.

The long-short of it being that I think Brady was a mid-QB in college was the reason he fell into the right place at the right time and was able to be further developed in the NFL.

I’d say it’s less obvious when a generational qb is paired with a defensive head coach. But give BB his due, the defense had a lot to do with their success. Brady picked up the torch and ran with it. Brady then moved to a team with an outstanding defense and offensive weapons and elevated them to Super Bowls. Could Brady have won even one SB without a defense? Maybe but I doubt it and the odds of him doing so early in his career are even lower. Credit to him though for seeing where NE was headed and moving to another good situation. It’s also huge that he recognized how much his salary affected the team he could have around him.

I think he needs to take a step back from the gm side. You can’t win without talent. None of Kyle’s schemes work as well without the team John Lynch has assembled. Just like being wide open means nothing if the ball is missing.

I'll go with the right Coach and the right QB at the right time. And as was mentioned, quality defense for those rings. Bill has nothing left to prove. I think he should retire.
