We have a lot of dogs. More than couple have"issues." We end up doing a lot of maneuvering with respect to kibble.
I've got lots of opinions and tons of experience on food. But I won't bore anyone with them.

I will suggest an encapsulated probiotic called Proviable. We use it daily with one guy who has big time issues. And also use it as a rescue when any of them start showing some signs.

Rotating foods every six to twelve months can also have a positive impact on dogs, IMO.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's come up in a discussion I've had with someone else. Only good things.

The vet mentioned specifically this; the lack of healthy bacteria and the relation with the Blue Buffalo being why they can't personally suggest it.

She only just had this issue for the first time last week, and she hasn't had an accident at all in the house since she was a puppy (she's over a year and a half old now).

Vet said it could definitely be the food if that's the only variable that's changed (bought her a new bag to supplement as I was suspicious of the new one I recently opened) after she showed signs of diarrhea.

Bronx is on his own formula mainly due to his joints, and being a much bigger pooch.

The vets are almost always going to push the Fortiflora probiotic. It's a powder produced by Purina. We've not had great success with it, and being a powder, it's a bit of a challenge to give to a pooch. Especially compared to a capsule that can be wrapped in a tiny piece of cheese.

No they weren't pushing towards something, they were simply telling me what they've seen as what to advise against.

Blue Buffalo being one brand to stay away from.

What a coincidence so do I! Would you like to exchange credit card information and social security numbers as humans often do? You go first...

That's what we use. I forget who makes it for them but it's a higher end brand, it's a great food for the money

I'm on another small car forum that is owned/operated by that shitty Canuckistanian company... you know the one... and I swear that have given the mods ZERO tools for controlling bots. Both with registration and detection. I report the pretty damn obvious ones all the friggin time and the mods are like... "user seems legit to us." Yeah, because the syntax isn't obvious. The user names aren't obvious. The posting patterns aren't obvious.

Yeah we give Dex the dry and wet Kirkland food mixed, the canned Turkey with gravy stuff honestly looks like something I would eat if it weren't labeled dog food lol.
