    I just assumed discount tire was just an online retailer, and didn't realize I have a few in my area. So it sounds like swapping the sensors out of the factor wheels and installing them into the new wheels shouldn't be an issue. Thanks for the info.

    Just had the 4Runner wheels installed on mine at Discount tire and no issues with the sensors fitting the other wheels. The wheels were on sale through the dealer for $232 a piece I think, plus free shipping.

    Seems the 4Runner wheels are more popular than the Tacoma TRD wheels. Is it because they seem to be more widely available?

    Better selection of tires. The Tacoma wheels are 16", and the 4Runner wheels are 17".

    Its just an old military trailer someone converted. I think its based off an M100 maybe? Similar to what Smittybuilt makes for an offroad trailer, but older and rustier. haha

    I just purchased the wheels from BAM. The dealership wanted too much. I’ll probably have my local discount tire install them. Thanks for the help.

    im also in the same boat but was wondering if the 2022+ TRD pro rims/wheels from the 4runner fit as well as the older ones? and would 275/70R17 fit in a 23 Sport Tacoma stock suspension? Also are the tacomas TRD Pro wheels gloss and not matte?

    Im new to the Tacoma World forum and have been reading every thread posted about this that I can find. I’m in the same situation as you. From my research I believe the 275 will be to wide. Those rims will fit on stock suspension with 265/70/17 as your biggest choice. If you have mud flaps you will get minor rubbing but that that’s it. But since you have a sport like me. No mud flaps. Check out the stickies in the wheel and thread section. So much info it’s overwhelming.

    If you want that style you'll need to go aftermarket like FSW wheels. The oem versions will not fit the hubs on the Tacoma's.

    There's a few threads floating around on the subject. Something about not fitting flush against the hub. (not compatible without grinding or machining the hub on the Tacoma.)

    Several have the aftermarket FSW wheels and are happy with them. A bonus is that they can be bought in multiple offsets and it's a true 17x8.5" wheel. Lightweight too. Some OEM center caps fit these wheels. I prefer the look of the 17x8.5, zero offset and 265/70/17 on a stock suspension TRD Tacoma. FSW makes some styles in 17" that Toyota only makes in 16.

    The oem 17" Sema wheels (black, grey or bronze) are 17x7. I believe these are 4mm offset.

    PTR20-35110-BK (black version)

    I believe the pro 16" are 16x7 or 16x7.5. I think the offset on these is close to 13mm.

    A zero offset sits pretty flush with the outside fender. Whatever style/color suits your preference. No right or wrong choice. More tire choices are available in 17" sizes.
