My pup always brings me her mini tennis ball to throw for her. I have to wonder if it’s because it’s her favorite toy, or because she thinks it’s my favorite toy

It is.
The Township plows the roads here first and salts and grits the heck out of them.

Maybe we got priority because a school bus driver used to live up here
(She parked the bus up here too)
Anyway, the priority hasn't changed.

The other day somebody hit the side of the little one lane bridge at the bottom.
It happens now and then regardless of whether the road is slippery.
The "Guardrails" are just waist high cyclone fencing.
It's a wonder nobody has ever gone off the side to hit the concrete spillway 20 feet down
