Just gotta pull a big brain move and be so poor that there is nothing to steal. Has been working flawlessly for me for years now!

I would prefer an RFID sleeve ... I am an old hippy and I like my 20+year-old wallet which I kind-of-suspect is not RFID blocking. No ... there will be NO pictures of the contents because I will NOT pay for your RTT!

    Hola boys,

I'll be in town this coming week and wanted to get an RC car for my son's birthday. Where should I look? I want to stay around the $200 range, 4WD, and electric. It will be his first real one.

The Axial SCX24 is hard to beat for a little crawler...a dab of oil/grease in the shocks (or new ones) makes a big difference.

That’s why I was asking, the scx24 is killer and so much fun. With the $200 budget, it leaves about $70 to buy some mods so he can get started down that rabbit hole.

Well, when I asked him, he initially said a drift car or off-roader. I was looking at a fast one that he can jump and skid around in the snow, currently, and then the dirt bike track during the summer.

I had an arrma before (not this one) and they’re pretty nice. A little above budget but would be great for what you’re saying.

Another good one is the Losi Baja Rey...I have the Raptor, and it's absolutely ludicrous speed on 3S

Those look sweet, but a bit much for an 11yo that's not had a "real" RC vehicle

Is this going with you to Utah? I'd probably buy the Vette, but again about 6 to 9 months too soon.

I have a Traxxas slash 4*4 for sale. Extra parts, tires, and a new clear shell, battery charger etc, etc, etc.

Ugh... started feeling like dogshit, went to the doc, blood shows lupus antibodies off the fookin charts. :rain: Yep, it's a flare.

Got put back on the strong meds, already starting to improve, but hoping to be able to kick this shit back into remission sooner rather than later.:fingerscrossed: I think I might actually be able to sleep tonight without the assistance of Advil.

It's not all bad news tho, my xmas presents came in:
    20231213_182550.jpg

Now I just need a day when I actually have energy and can load them up without my joints and guts screaming.:anonymous:

Not to mention there's brake rotors and pads, a full set of new skid plates, recovery points, AND diff fluids sitting around gathering dust.

I'd really like to stick to new for this go-round. If he decides to dive into the rabbit hole, I could see us picking up a couple secondhand.

If you have any availability on weekdays I could schlep around your garage for a couple hours. I can do whatever you need. If it's a weekend I can come by next year if it'll help?
