Regarding the poll, I cannot answer as I have no idea when I stopped believing. Guess I still believe in the "spirit" of Christmas. Personally I just try to treat others as I would like them to treat me....for the most part.

Pressing some bearings on this unit. It's a ranch unit so it gets beat on pretty hard, it's also getting brakes all around (down to metal) and a new coolant tank.

Same here. All I can say is I’ll be happy this elf on the shelf will come to an end before much longer, however, that also means he’s growing up too fast!

    Thanks! :fistbump:

I realize this is old hat to some folks here however for others it might be a learning opportunity of something they have never seen.

But you sure can make a rocking chair look appealing!

I need to learn to "grab a pew" on more of a regular occasion.

My work years were spent running on overload all the time always concerned about "my important responsibilities".
(Which turns out isn't very healthy... :smack: )

Now my point of view for most things is "I can do it today, tomorrow or next week".
If it is a nice day I might just say heck with it and go for a drive or nap in the chair instead. (Which feels much more healthy. :) )
I really like that rocker too, it was free on the side of the road.

Many years ago and for a period of about 10 years, I played Santa Claus for our town's homeless shelter and battered women's center, which had not only women, but also their children. I also did it for a preschool center and a few churches. This was volunteer work.
But to see the kid's faces when I showed up with a pack full of toys and games? That was priceless. So yes, I believe in Santa, but I never forget the real reason for the magic around Christmas.

As I get older, the magic of Christmas has not changed, even though my kids are gone and have kids of their own. I will be cooking on Christmas morning to feed several families during Christmas day, along with other, like minded individuals. No more Santa though. It was too heart wrenching then, and now I would just want to go after the deadbeat dads and whoop their butts for being stupid people. My tolerance game has weakened as I get older...
