The 35's have made a mess of the whole stock inner liner thingies. Between the chopping and the smashing/rubbing there is not much left on either side. haven't been in too big a hurry as I am planning on replacing the bent/bulged factory fenders with new McNeil fiberglass fenders this summer. Ultimately though, before the trip, I will have to address the air intake, as there are some BIG water crossings down there. Thinking to just move the intake port into the engine compartment for the time being; however, even though I abhor the look of a snorkel, it might go well with my current Aussie UTE look... Morning ramble.

GMRS Application is in and paid for.
No test on the FCC site.
Was just as easy as getting my CC permit.
Needed to show proof of a firearms safety course to get CC.
They took my hunter safety course that I took back in 1991 as proof. lol

 

We're all on GMRS too, it's great.

One of the possibly overlooked benefits is family usage. Any family member, by any relation, can operate a GMRS radio so long as one family member has a license on file.

Of course, we shouldn't need to ask permission from a bureaucracy, but that's a topic for offline discussion.

Do they need to reside in the same city?
If 2 or more are using same license at same time in different areas, are all supposed to use the same call #.

 

The license can be used by the licensee and immediate family members which include the licensee's spouse, children, grandchildren, stepchildren, parents, grandparents, stepparents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Family members do not need to live in the same household

But in the end you are responsible for those people transmitting. So if they violate any laws and are "caught" you are on the hook since you're the license holder.
