It’ll be cool seeing someone rock the new JD joint. Sent an email for the 1” uniball conversion today. Perhaps I’ll get to see it in person.

I have a feeling this will speed up the process once people receive them to get them installed.

Yea it’s nice of them for sure.
This will highlight the one issue with the EMF. I have reached out to EMF themselves just to inform of thr failure. Haven’t heard anything back. More a FYI notice.
We will measure the upper and be ordering to swap to UniBall uppers.
I will say the longevity aspect of the EMF are nice. With their serviceability also. Maybe just not translating well to our application? I don’t know. I’m. Not an engineer by any sorts. I’m just the guy who builds and fixes the stuff engineers design.

They just weren’t meant for the abuse we are giving them. All there really is to it. Uniballs should be able to make it a season with next to no maintenance. And that alone makes it worth it to me. I prep my truck every off season (as should everybody). So it doesn’t bother me in the least to replace uniballs at the end of every season.

Lol, difference here. Once it comes it’s here till may. Doesn’t melt doesn’t do anything but pile and pile. Then the hundreds of tons of salt dumped out. Nope…. I have a shit box for winter.

Having been born and raised in Flag and also having lived in latitudes far north of that wonderful southwest sun, I'll just digress here and say there's a massive difference in what photons do there even if depth was close to the same. And last year was not an average one, snowsk8air! Snowiest season on record for Flag, if I recall.

I will say snow wheeling is my favorite wheeling, though, so the truck comes out to play when the motos are put up for the winter.

I laugh every time someone in the southern states say “we get snow too”….

I challenge you to come where the sun doesn’t shine for 5-6 months of the year. And we don’t see a day above freezing for months on end.

Not all that many years ago, we had a winter that went 78 consecutive days below zero. Many of which were 100 degrees colder than some of your summer days. Talking -30 and lower.

I do the same kind of laugh when people think all of Arizona is desert.

One side swapped out. Can see where it started a second crack. Right at the transition from the taper to the non tapered part.

After replacing the passenger side. It has and obscene amount of play it in for 3 months of use. Mostly street too.
