    Just played with the configurator.

2023 TRD OR max options ("right-most" package): $47,250 delivered
2024 TRD OR max options ("right-most" package): $54,485 delivered

    delta: $7,235 (15.3%)

ETA: I can see that they are still actively working on the configurator.

Yeah seems that way! Lol! Dunno, it fits me about perfect. One of the best road tripping vehicles I have been in. We had a RAV4 TRD for a week, thought that thing rode rougher.

Guessing you would be really happy in the new Tundra, those ride incredibly well, but think I remember you saying you can’t park a half ton. :p :)

My ‘99 rides like a brick, do have 4Runner SR5 seats in it, those are fairly nice, but the OME Dakar heavies overshadows them. It did ride quite well when I had the Camburg coil overs and Deavers in the rear with emulsions. But broke the Deavers, and after moving to Idaho, heims on the Camburgs don’t do well with de-icing agents.

My Tacoma is what I would call decently comfortable. Not great, but not bad. My longest road trip was about 4 hours, and it was tolerable. The power seat is a must for me regardless of vehicle.

The most comfortable vehicle seat I've owned was in a 2010 F-150.

I cant parm a fullsize though remember lol
Honestly I'm not sure what I'll do , I love going on trails and if I get a full size ill be limited. But the back seat doesn't work in the Tacoma anymore either with 2 car seats

That’s an incredible scientific test you did on two different SUVs. Were you part of the Myth Busters?

Yeah man no way could someone feel a difference in driving dynamics and form an opinion on it.

I’m not talking about 0-60 times, I’m talking about how it feels. I’m sure you’ve felt the difference between low rpm torque delivery and high rpm torque delivery.

Well y'all I hope this will change, if not I am beyond disappointed the payload ratings. Here's the owners manual pdf from Toyota's website and the url if something does not work:
    https://www.toyota.com/owners/warranty-owners-manuals/

I was excited for the XtraCab, but if these numbers are true, the double cab is the way to go overall.... I don't understand Toyota's methods. There's a lot to love, but is it worth it? I dunno. Pretty heartbroken... and thank you all for correcting me on the oil capacity/coolant. I just got up and obviously didn't pay attention.

mine is absolute murder on my back on anything longer than 1hr drive. Cant wait to get myself into a modern vechicle with a much more plush ride than 1G vintage.

Do you have a link to this Car and Driver drag race? I can’t find it but I did find this old TFL drag race where the 2nd gen beats the 3rd.

The numbers on my WRX prove it is not a “fast” car by modern standards, but the low end torque make it feel quicker than it is in those lower RPMs. That’s the great thing about turbo 4s for daily driving, but can also be a negative on your mpg since you can’t just use RPMs as your indicator of how much gas your burning.

Pretty simple concept to get down, but I feel like a lot of MPG complaints will pop up from folks who always dip into the boost to accelerate

The latter, but you’re unlikely to find that the results are different than what’s on the page. You’ll notice that the tests match the results of the drag race vid. The second gen is slightly faster than the third in both

    Lol!

That Tundra crew max is awfully roomy if you have kids, they only are going to get bigger.

The 3rd Gen has 278 HP and the 4th has either 270 MT and 278 AT. How is minus 8 HP or the same HP equal out to a 17% gain?

Oh ok, that's not really a fair comparison (in my opinion) since there was no Hybrid 3rd Gen.

Does the 3rd gen really have 278 HP? I've driven 3rd gens and my 236 HP 2nd gen actually feels like it has a bit more power.
