It is a bright clear day here, about 50 degrees!

    An excellent day to...
    .....
    ....
    ...
    ..
    .
.... be a cellar dweller. :notsure:

The black iron line near the furnace is done, this was easier than snaking the copper around all the ductwork.

o_O Yes, I know the vertical run is crooked -- the natural lay of the pipe coming out of the furnace forced it.

To pull it into plumb would put a lot of stress on the gas valve - gas valves are fussy & expensive so I'll let it ride.

We all can't do @Delta09 quality work...
    :boink:  :p

    KIMG3708.jpg

In bigger news, the work on the mud slide side should be done! :woot:

The yellow coating on the copper line is polypropylene (IIRC), the propane supplier recommended this product for being in the crawlspace.
    Almost $300 for a 60 foot roll...:bananadead:

Notice the uni-strut clamps on the BI, even though I'm not in industry anymore I still do things the heavy duty way.

Back in the 60’s and 70’s I guess this was common. Cole’s early 60’s John Deere 110 has one and my dad’s 1970 John Deere tractor has one. This has the place for it.

I have found that on many older models, generally the more expensive ones like CC, JD, Jacobsen, Gravely, etc.

    Power is available.

Out here in the boondocks the power goes off now & then so I made it easily generator ready.

Maybe I'm an idiot but doesn't that mean you'll have a double ended male cord with hot prongs?

    No.
I put a heavy duty cord and plug on the furnace and mounted an outlet on a dedicated circuit right to the furnace.

For generator use I would just unplug the furnace and plug it into an extension cord connected to my small portable generator outside the cellar entrance.

    You got it.

Not convenient like a whole house system but safe & functional if needed.

I have run a cord through the kitchen window for the refrigerator when the power was out for an extended time.

I have rang my bell on various things probably 50 times on this job.

Here in the cellar I keep finding one more nail after I think I pulled them all.
