That's the only unfortunate thing IMO. Otherwise, I look forward to them tweaking what people don't like about the 1st year, making year 2 better, and year 3 even better.

 

I pulled the trigger on a ‘23 Limited in late September after my son, a finance manager at a large Toyota store, warned me about expected price hikes and difficulty getting a ‘24 without the dealer ADP nonsense. I always was a bit concerned about buying a first-year model changover and not overly excited about a turbo 4 engine, but that would not have been a deal killer. I WILL NOT pay up of sticker for anything!

But hey, don’t think I’m missing out. My ‘23 experience has been aided greatly by a OTT tune and I’m a happy Tacoma owner at least in the short term.

 

Picked up my ‘23 in July rather than waiting for ‘24. Same reasons as most…give it a couple of years to be road tested, iron out some kinks, make a few improvements. Not to mention the dealer inflated surcharges they’ll be pumping these thing up with. So, I may be interested around the time the 2026-27 models roll out.

 

Seemed like a good idea until I saw how much a used 3rd gen goes for! 35-40K for something I would actually buy vs 50k for what I actually want. I might just go all in myself.

 

I have had a deposit on trail hunter or Pro since day it was revealed. I was 3rd in line but as of Dec 1st the other two pulled there deposits and one changed to a land cruiser and other decided on tundra. So now I'm 1st to get option on 1st trd pro or trail hunter.

No. My dealer is msrp and no mark ups. So depending what toyota has on them msrp. Told them no accessories and they said once they see what they get they can make sure nothing is added at the port extra. That's my final thing to decide is what will.msrp be on them no extras

Looking at early pricing it's not looking good

 

been waiting for a gen 3 for over a year im #5 for an ofrd stick but if the later years an access cab stick is an option ima trade up

 

I’ve had a deposit down since the summer, and just got delivery date of early March. TRDOR 6MT in Underground.

 

Fully loaded OR Manual is more than I paid for my Pro. With that said I think I'll wait for the refresh and foolishly hold out that they figure out how get the manual to work with the hybrid. Also nothing wrong with my current pro thats been trouble free so it's currently and want vs a need at 73k miles.

 

Interestingly enough the Canadian MSRP hasn’t changed much, with the 2024 TRDOR 6MT is listed at $48,550 and the 2023 TRDOR 6A listed at $49,455. Would love to see it happen, but doubt we will ever see the Hybrid with a manual!

 

Off Road Access Cab with MT is currently only available in Canada, for 2024 the Manuals are Double Cab only, SR, Off Road, and Sport.

 

I am going to check them out. My 2016 off road will be 8 years old the Jan. 2024 with 116000 miles on her. it's had some issues over the years but seems to still feel like a good running truck.

 

I am going to wait for year 2 of the hybrid, just to be sure to avoid any 1st year bugs.

 

You are waiting until calendar year 2026?

 

The hybrids are supposedly coming out in spring 2024, so hoping to pick one up in spring 2025.
