IMG_3717.jpg Yesterday, I leveled up the front with a 3/4 spacer and some shock adjustment. Followed by an alignment.

Today, I’ll finish up the fluid film on the front chassis and reinstall the skid plate.

lol, gsf is car shampoo and the P&S beadmaker is a sealant. After you wash and completely dry the vehicle (leaf blower works great if ceramic coated) then spray, buff and wipe the P&S beadmaker.

I like to use these 16x24 microfibers with P&S beadmaker. About 4-5 of them for a Tacoma.

That is beautiful. I am going with a "middle of the road" kit as this truck is primarily a commuter and won't see too much off road. I still want to be able to keep up with my snobby King / Apache Off Road friends though. ;]

I've been eyeing this mod for a while now. Pretty affordable way to increase visibility reversing, and overall safety on the road, especially if you got the brake strobe.

you wont be disappointed. but if i could sway your decision at all. on my 1st gen i went non adjustable coilovers and always regretted it so if you can swing it the stage 6 kit id recommend over the 4. adjustable compression is a game changer on a truck that sees both street use and offroad use. non adjustable icons are valved to the equivalent of setting 4 on the cdcv shocks. that means you can go quite a bit softer and ALOT firmer for fast driving or carrying alot of extra weight.

but if you do go stage 4 icon makes it easy to upgrade to cdcv resis for the front. believe you need stage 5 with 2.5 rear shocks to be able to upgrade the rears. 2.5 rears have a built in bump zone for the last 2" of travel as a bonus

Recently converted my OE headlights and fog lights to LED. I think it looks way better than factory bulbs.

Got 2 free led lights from my uncle. Wanted to mount them on my roof rack with a swivel bracket. Only brackets I saw that I liked were $100 each. So I made my own. Bought a 4 pack of 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 5mm aluminum angle bracket off Amazon. Just need to paint them up this weekend and wire them in.

Try being born on Dec 31. It was my mom’s ‘turn’ to host the family meal on New Year’s Day. We would celebrate my birthday at the same time. I didn’t realize my birthday was the 31st until I was a teenager. Got a lot of ‘oh you were a tax deduction’ which I didn’t understand until I was older.

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Just got back from power washing it. Put it up on the jack and did a full undercarriage inspection, and greased the 5 zerks on the driveline. Early 2016 model so it has 5 zerks.

All suspension components, cv axles, wheel bearings, are tight.

No leaks anywhere. Drives like new.

2016 TRD OR, 75K miles, about 20K off road miles on 150+ trips.

Only repairs to this truck were 2 years ago installing a new driver side wheel hub, cv axle, and inner needle bearing replacement after a bad hit into a too deep washout at speed when I was busy enjoying the view down into a valley.

Overall in pretty good condition considering the beating this truck takes. I am retired, so it is used primarily for off road to find remote fishing lakes, and to go buy a jug of milk or case of beer when needed.

Do you spray your frame with a rust preventer at all? Did you get your high pressure fuel pump or vacuum pump replaced yet? I think you said part was on order. Can’t remember which one. You were having an issue a month or so ago.

The high pressure fuel pump (in engine) checked out so it was not replaced. I have had no repeat issues since that original one at the high elevation lake. I did put in a new PCV in a week after that and it noticeably improved engine performance so that might have been the issue. The one plug that had some oil on it has been clean since.

No undercoat spray on the truck other than what it came with when I bought it used in 2018. Clear that it was done when new as all the frame is coated black. Plus that job Toyota did a year ago as part of the extended warranty for rust protection. The only rust is very light on the rear axle (barely any) and on the leaf springs.

Took my truck into Toyota for rotation/fluidcheck ... 1-car garage is too small for putting it on struts. Said "no oil change".

Just noticed the "oil change reminder" sticker on my windshield. They are either "foolishly optimistic" or they did not listen and swapped out my Pennzoil. o_O

Damn! Need to see if they did change oil and lost the black clip on my Fumoto!

Sweet looking truck! I was gonna go the same route with the Prinsu racks had I not found a trailer for my RTT.
