I bought this led dome light board off of AliExpress for $16, looks pretty bright, but haven’t checked at night yet. I’ll take some pictures when it gets dark.

Cheaper than most LED solutions out there.
    Fits rav4, Prius and corollas.

    Thought I would share.

Careful many a post on electrical gremlins on here, from even the simplest LED swap. The untested no name Chinesium version, even more so.

looks like a well-etched pcb. main failure point is them designing the board for thermal dissipation, but then using current-limiting resistors for power 'regulation'. most design such boards for an expected 12v, meaning that operating the light while the truck is running is over-volting the led's... there's a dozen better ways to do it with a current limiting driver that better responds to led chips dropping forward voltage as they run up to their thermal limits.

most common failure mode is the resistors not shunting spikes, the cheap led's being less tolerant of spikes, and depending on how hard the led's are driven, i've seen the resistor solder joints melted apart.

My experience with cheap LED interior lighting is that sooner rather than later it will fail. Mostly blinking off and on. I bought a full set for my Colorado and within a year opening the door and getting in at night was like walking into a discotheque.

Never understood the need for a zillion lumens from a dome light. That light would blind my passengers when the light bounces off the bald spot on my scalp. Happy Friday!

Meso’s aren’t available nor are they reliable and the customer service is a ghost.
Current limited is ideal given the inconsistency of supply voltage combined with voltage sensitivity of leds. As with many boards Meso’s just use resistors rather than true current control.
Any of these boards can be adjusted by installing a driver in line or changing the resistance.
I’ve had the Meso maps & dome for several years with no truck electrical problems but the products aren’t nearly as lasting as leds should be because of the lack of true current control and mounting on plain pcb’s instead of mcpcb’s (metal core printed circuit boards) which are used in high lumen applications.
As far as the need for better lighting, I guess it’s an individual thing. Having grown up in an era with inadequate lighting and living in one where better is available I’ll take better. Better reverse light too.

I don't really get the full led board thing. I swapped all my interior lights to LEDs I had left over from when I did my corolla and it's plenty bright.

Night shot, not overly bright but enough to see the floor. No gremlins for now.

or just drill a hole in console and put one red LED like other cars for ambient lighting

they also offer strips in door trim but that may be overkill

and useless if not dual color red option

running MESO for a while no issues
good experience with customer service they've hooked me up before

Congratulations on your unicorn status. I’m having to search for parts and do my own repairs. I think they’re cool but I’d recommend keeping the stock lenses and reflectors for when they quit working since most are either unwilling or unable to repair them.
