Had a friend over who helped me install the walnut butcher block in the photo. Time to relax and admire the hard work!

I really like this Mitcher’s Rye. It’s sweeter and not as spicy as other rye whiskies I’ve had. Not sure about others but I find myself reaching for Rye during the holidays because of the spice profile.

 

Drinking with the neighbors. Best pour is Blantons FP or Rickhouse

2nd and final lottery this morning. This one you don’t have to show proof of county residency. Id say about 500-600 people standing around in this cold parking lot.

Highest number I’ve heard called is 612. There’s at least 612 people standing out here. I’d say they’ve called around 50 numbers, not mine yet though. No Pappy for me today.

 

So they call a number and the person picks from what’s available?

 

Yep. They bring in about 10-15 at a time, give them 2 minutes to pick. And then move them along.

 

I’m hoping for a RR13, we shall see.

 

Awesome that they’re given some choice. But that’s gotta take forever.

Lots of nice bottles! First time I've seen anyone else with that blue in the night granite countertops. Did you put that in, or came with the house?

At this point, not anymore. I have a couple stores near me doing big drops next week, I already rsvp’d for a Blantons gold barrel pick and the week looks like it’s going to get expensive quick. Thanks though

 

Not much left by the time my number was called. Booker’s, a few Blanton’s, Eagle Rare store picks, IW Harper 15, JDSBBP Rye, EC Toasted Barrel some scotch. I got this:
