    My TW pickups today. The FP was my Grand Reserve pick, i was 21st to select, and choose this out of what was left. Should have got there a little earlier, saw some 12yr walking out and some other stuff. Guy in front of me picked the Michters 10yr for MSRP, that’s what I had my eye on. But happy with this draw. And the EC18 was a nice score. I’ve really come to enjoy EC.

    Opened this tonight. It’s unique. I’ve always wondered how people can taste “leather” in bourbon. I taste it here. Nose is sweet, like vanilla. More bite than I expect from <100 proof.

    Comparing to the other 15 year old bourbon I’ve had, I’d say IW Harper 15YR still takes the cake. This is comparable to Calumet 15YR but at nearly $100 more a bottle I’d say the price factor makes Calumet the better option.
