I hadn't seen this-Made me laugh! I did really well on the flat bed... I used 1/8 inch steel. Was scary, but I think she'll hold!

This is fine for me. I won't make anything until after the 4th of July; except, I am still planning a trip down to Arkansas (for any still interested) starting the night of March 20th and back the 27-28 ish. I have already done some recon for the Fall run and have a whole new area to explore-closer to Bayfield- just looking for the Friday winch mayhem location... I will be doing a big 2-3 week trip from Durango up to Washington starting mid June-Overlanding style with just a touch of terror for the wife-returning mid July. Once that is completed I am going to Tigerton as often as I can make it!

This looks good to me. I definitely want to get back to the UP and maybe that would be a good option for June? Might be pretty buggy at that time of year. And campsites big enough for a large group might be an issue. @LarryDangerfield any opinions on this?

Oh there will be some mods all right
Bugs are always a tricky variable that time of year. Some years they're not bad and some years they are awful. Sometimes I've even seen on the same day in one spot where they are killer and one spot where there aren't nearly as bad. As far as campsites that are big enough, I can think of a few but they definitely are wayyy up in the UP.

In a way, I'd like to go, but since this has been on the back burner, I decided to try to get another project out of the way before Christmas since the weather is supposed to be in the 40's.

I don't see any details. Where? When? How many days? Should I bring bail money? If so, how much? Camping or other? (I have a ground tent.) I'm in (probably) but I need info.

Nothing is listed on Windrocks' website for that weekend. What event am I registering for? ....Free camping? Is that a camping area or individual sites?

Wife told me to have a good time.
