If only automotive companies were interested in that sort of thing, unless you're a wildly famous or "popular" photographer, we have no chance of working with these companies. In this case, I was very lucky to be in the right place, at the right time, and have a camera capable of capturing this shot, and then editing it just right so it doesn't look fake.

This is another shot I've take, where I now feel like the editing was too much, and the mud looks fake.

Looks good to me. If you had poured mud on top of the roof ... fake. It looks like the mud splashed where it wanted to.

 

I saw a contest pre-covid where you could enter your vehicle to get a chance to have it displayed with the Toyota display at Bristol and another east coast track. It was open to non-stock Toyota's. I think it was part of the R&D effort for the 4th gen Taco as they design team lead said they paid a lot of attention to the aftermarket community to see what we were doing to and wanted from the trucks. I don't think its a "not interested" position so much as there are so many of these trucks out there that have had some great work done to them. And they are out looking. I went to (Br)Overland Expo east, and one of the guys from the Toyota booth said was out walking the parking area as the show started.

 

What's funny is all the mud is where it ended up while driving a trail offroad. I just went too far with the editing in Lightroom, I've since gone back and changed it. I love taking photos of things, adventures offroad and on, so I go to racetracks and get shots of friends cars.
