I've been really enjoying being on it; being on XP I'm taking no risk by logging onto anything personal but I did install Firefox for light browsing

Got an SSD and adapter to upgrade memory on the cheap, so I can only imagine how much faster it'll be

My only gripe is I forgot how "clunky" it is picking items up in Diablo II

 

An SSD and max memory in these are a big (affordable) boost. Seriously you can daily these things with no second thought. I only really care when I need to do work. I've been running that X220 and a T480 for most all daily needs. And if they get too slow, Linux makes them new. Crazy that you can spend $100-200 and have a system that'll serve your needs. Wish more people knew that! Plus upgrades are easy, screen included.

 

No kidding, was reading on frankenstein variants on "best display, mobo combination" etc

I really think with just the SSD I'll keep it the way it is

Not sure if the mobo on this one handles more than 512mb of ram; the T520/530 is in my sights if it's got the right gpu and it's being sold cheap with no HDD

 

The stock upper control arms on that thing look so flimsy thin
