quote "Concurred. I have no problem with the prop rod."
When you're 70+ with arthritis and old sports injuries, the struts are welcomed. Walk a mile ....

It’s nice to have these clips on hand just in case you lose one during the install: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CJLB1BP

Will it? Arthritis can be managed with resistance training.

    Ask me how I know.

I guess the update has a bad history with Canadian immigration and they won't let it come over the border.

I read that too (even though I didn't install the MESO). It's a #3 Philips. Sure, a #2 will fit in the head but it is a #3 head (at least on my truck) and the wrong size screwdriver will just strip it.

One other thing, I am more than able to lift the hood and use the prop rod. I empathize with your condition, but “Your time will come “ is purely evil and sadistic.

    So……:brianr:

It seems that in the last few months "my time" has been knocking on my door. I haven't let it in yet but it's very persistent and I'm afraid @canuck guy is right. :(

Thanks for confirming. I remembered it being a #3 and thought checking MESO’s instructions would steer me the right way.

@canuck guy is only partially right. If you just give in then it will absolutely fuck you up, but if you take steps to slow it or alleviate it, hence resistance training, you can be more effective in delaying its progress.

Not everyone will be affected by it, so to say “your time will come “ is almost the same as saying you wish upon others so they should suffer as you suffer.

Great grandpa was still woodworking and self sufficient up till his passing at 101.
Age hits everyone different, and definitely agree that slowing down and accepting becoming decrepit as an inevitability hastens the end

OK I must be an idiot because I have never heard of that device. My Tacoma and ZR2 wheels are heavy as feck and to get one on or off I have to sit on the floor, straddle the wheel and lift it up with my knees. It was a bitch 24 years ago and it's a double bitch now with 2 trucks.

What brand do you have? I see there are lots of choices and I want one that works.

Or it's the most cost-effective, in an effort to keep the overall cost of the vehicle competitive.

Myself I find it ironic that there's been almost a page worth of post on prop vs struts. I swear one of these days I'm going to open up TW to find a thread on who's favorite color is better.
