Couple years ago I finally drew an any bull archery tag on a military base. They only give out 20 tags a year I believe. I was running out time so finally took some freezer meat. Not too unhappy about taking a smaller animal as it was the best moose meat I have ever eaten.

That one was a three year old little guy. The big ones.... That is the ones your friends hope they don't get a call to help on.

This one, with one foot touching the moose, I ranged the truck at exactly 100 yards away. It just does not get better than that!.

This was my first go around with what is basically urban hunting. Not sure it is for me. I was at full draw, ready to take the first shot at 22 yards, and another hunter comes bombing up in a old diesel truck. So the moose moves out 38 yards before giving me a broadside shoot. Pass through, heart shot. The moose does not go down and is getting pretty upset with me. Trying to hide behind a three inch birch tree isn't working so I figure another shot wouldnt hurt. Just as I touch off the second arrow the other hunter slams his truck door, making the moose lunge forward. The second arrow hit back aways, but he just fell over and It was all over other than the shaking. LOL. You have a moose ticked off at you 25 yards away, blowing blood and snot and you kind of think about your recent life decisions and if you need to re-evaluate your decision making paradigm! Best rush from hunting I have had in a long time.

Really like how you have it on a stand instead of up on the wall. Now how to go about that with a caribou rack....
