Nah, that would be nice though. Once the warranty is up it's getting shipped down the road. So far the car has had over $4,000 in warranty repairs and now the CVT is acting up. :goingcrazy:

Yea they had to pull the engine and completely re-seal the engine due to a massive oil leak. Normally they just seep, but mine was dripping on the garage floor. Only 67K miles on it at the time. Still waiting for a DCM module that is on indefinite backorder. It kept draining the battery sitting for a couple days. The way I understand it since the 3G network is discontinued and that's what it was trying to communicate under it was constantly trying to "phone home". They pulled the fuse but now I don't have any front door speakers and the bluetooth mic is in-operable. Now the CVT is "shifting" erratically here and there. Never had any of this BS with my Toyota's...

It's great in the snow, but not in reliability.

Good morning PA. temps are dropping and weatherman says some snow today into tomorrow. Not much for the far western part of the state, more in the Laurel Highlands.

My mother had a nissan altima years ago with a cvt trans that car was in the shop more than it was on the road. My father got tired of it and got her a toyota camry.

Good morning PA. Plenty of rain overnight in the Reading area but no flooding that I'm aware of. The local middle/senior high school was flooded out this June or July when we got around 7" in a matter of hours. Total damage (+/- $22 million) was like $1.00 under what is required for FEMA assistance, so still no clear picture as to what will happen with the building.

On another note, I put my deposit down for a Warn semi-hidden bumper, Warn Evo 12-S winch and Bilstein 5100 shocks to help accommodate the added weight on the front end which is 151.85 pounds per my conversation with Warn. That's gross, not net as several OEM pieces will be coming off to accommodate the new bumper. In a few months, my plan is to add something along the lines of a C4 Fabrication rear bumper and Bilstein 5100 shocks in the rear. Not looking for a big cool looking lift, just reliability and functionality. Currently running an ARE shell and 60 to 80 pounds of camping gear on the access cab style TRD Sport. Any suggestions from the more experienced people here welcomed.

:pccoffee:  PA peeps/wannabes/soggybottoms. We got a heck of a lot of rain last night! I did a tour at around 2AM and everything was holding up well, so we lucked out that no damage occurred. But there was all kinds of debris in the roads this morning and the "usual spot" for flooding across the road was, indeed, flooded.

    Berks County rainfall totals: https://www.cocorahs.org/ViewData/CountyDailyPrecipReports.aspx?state=PA&county=BR

I went through there this morning. The creek is swollen and across the road in one place, but mostly it's contained. Nothing like the last time. Thank goodness!

We had two Subies. The Legacy needed pistons under warranty, and was recalled for the ever-present (so it seems) cylinder head gasket seepage. The STi used a little oil from day one but was dead reliable otherwise; I never did anything about the oil consumption and it stayed exactly the same for 117,000 miles. No complaints there. But our neighbor's Forester has had 3 short blocks! They don't seem to be able to build motors these days.

G/F has a 2013 Altima with over 200k on it, original CVT trans so far as we know and it was bought from the original owner. I have changed the fluid in it 3 times in past 4 years when I thought it was starting to slip but so far so good.

I pass this vacant building on the northern outskirts of Quakertown fairly often. It is located on 309 and just before Coopersburg. It has been vacant for years and clearly was not originally a National Auto. The shape of the roof and the four central air-conditioners indicates that it was used to store something...? I took these pics on the way home from DoorDashing and was wondering if anybody knew what this building could have been...?
