    this will be over in the alcohol/whiskey thread, but since you all are my peeps.... figured id do it in here too.

    gonna share my Xmas punch recipe with you guys.... its pretty popular & the wife is having me make a batch to give to her coworkers & my SIL at the family get together.

    here we go:

    750ml of Everclear or 151 of some type.
    750ml of Captain Morgan spiced rum 100proof
    1 gal spiced apple cider
    1qt of apple juice (no concentrate)
    2 cups brown sugar
    3/4 cup white sugar
    10 lg cinnamon sticks

    bring everything but the booze to a simmer, then let cool.
    add the alcohol & stir it up.
    this makes 10 quarts & a cinnamon stick goes in each quart jar.

    enjoy!

    note: this has very little alcohol taste to it..... but its pretty friggin potent. about 8 ounces of this will set most people right.
