Does your dealer return deposits? The ones here are $2000 nonrefundable, no matter the model. We also have 3 Toyota dealers within a half hour of each other. Keeps you from going to the competition.

I say keep the deposit and get the 4th Gen, a lot of us are eager to hear the results from the Beta testers. :)

I'm sure it will be an awesome truck, thinking the crazy high prices is what opens it up to more criticisms.

Personally I’d lay low in 2024. I’m still with a 2G and gotta be itching harder than you to get a new truck but can’t dip in to the new model cluster-F. Then again you seem to move cars often and can always dump the 4G for a minimal loss if it doesn’t work. If your 3G is a gem I’d ride it out tho.

Comparing ‘23 vs ‘24 SR5s with similar packages, it really isn’t that all bad.

A basic SR MT is over 36K, just seems ridiculous.

It’s ppf’d, ceramic coated, Volks and last LR. Actually really love the look of even more than the 4th gen.

I’m leaning more and more towards full size these days. But also feel like everything is plastic junk especially the new Tundra which also worries me with the Tacoma. The 3rd gen ain’t perfect but it’s pretty solid.

A 2023 SR was merely $300 less, and I’d much rather have this new manual with an extra 45 ft lbs of torque

3rd gens are good looking trucks no doubt about it.

This is modified though and we have yet to see a modded 4th gen TRD OR

Based on your parking job in the above photo you should probably stick with the midsize truck. :D

I actually feel like the base SR and Limited are the best 2 values in the whole model line up. Every other trim level has been butchered and manipulated to point of rendering them redundant.

Base 2wd Sport is perfect example of a truck that makes no sense IMO. Base OR is close as well, but the suspension spares it, barely.

Empty new construction lot in the back, room for pregnant wife to get out without hitting bushes and to avoid door dings cause people here are ignorant. I had a full size and drove our 26’ moving truck cross country no problem including in an apt complex.

I feel like that’s a pretty fair assessment on their values. I’d personally want to jump to a coil sprung truck so that takes the SR out of the running for me.

It is a waiting game for me though to see interest rates go back down.

Toyota financing has special rates until next year sometime. Better than my credit union.

I thought that was only for 2023 model Tacomas, but if they do then that would be nice
