Must have lost power last night. Had to set the clock on the microwave.

 

Wind gusts are well over 50mph at my locale.
Lights flickered a couple times.

Morning everyone.

Not so happy Monday...

Didn't lose power all night, until 7:15am when a tree fell on wires on our road. And to add insult to injury, Spectrum internet was already down before that.

Luckily wife and kids don't have school, both Danbury and Brookfield canceled along with a few others around here.

Powered up the generator for them, and came to the inlaws so I can work since they have internet.

FUCK.

Morning guys, got hit pretty hard here in the SW corner but seems to have passed already

 

So the tree that fell on the wires almost caught fire.

Our neighbor went out to talk to the crews because he said they were just standing around in front of his house, to see what was going on.

Said they told him they cleared the tree and told Eversource to send out the crew that can work on and fix the power lines. Said they told him to turn on his generator because they can't give him a timeline for the repair, but told him it'd be fixed today.

Still no internet at home, so still at the inlaws working while the Mrs is home with the generator running, with the kids.

 

Guess what I’m doing.

 

I know that answer.
I've only done it about a thousand times.

 

Spoke too soon, absolutely pouring here

 

Well... power is back, but not the internet still.

Mrs just called, and walked her through shutting off the generator and unplugging it.

 

Looks like a hybrid service to me.

 

Rain gauge shows 4.25" as our total rainfall.
