My theory about getting pulled over in Souderton on Thanksgiving Eve is that the cop really just wanted to get a closer look at my Christmas light setup, but couldn't state his true intentions because his body cam was recording. He said pretty much from the beginning that was he was not going to give me a ticket, and he said numerous times how impressed he was with my display. There were extra DUI patrols out since it was Thanksgiving Eve, so that gave him yet another excuse.

Needless to say, I do not turn on the the lights once I get North of Hatfield (except the wreath and bullbar lights), and once I get up to the Lehigh Valley area, I only turn them on within Bethlehem.

I am seeing more and more vehicles driving around during the holidays with varying amounts of Christmas lights on them, and as a driver, I don't see them as a distraction; I just fail to see how Christmas lights on a vehicle harm anybody, and within all the horrible things going on in the world today, law enforcement should have better things to do than harass me for putting Christmas lights on MY truck!

 

That said, I continued doing DoorDash and Uber Eats once I got back down to Bucks County, and I saw this Ram in the parking lot of a McDonald's in Perkasie where I picked up an order...

 

I don’t see a problem with it.
The only problem I see, is that it gives them a valid reason to pull you over.

Plus, my luck sucks.
I’d have a set fall off and get wrapped around a CV or Driveshaft.

I took this at @Stitchgirl90 's place last night, and even with some of the light sets destroyed by the two consecutive weekends of torrential rain, the truck still looks great!

 

@Stitchgirl90 and I are making holiday pound cake from my mom's old family recipe!
