Im replacing the shift seat bushing and the shifter bushing. The seat is brittle and cracked and the bushing is pretty rounded at the bottom. The 1st/2ns sycnro looks good and isn't messed up. All the gears look good ans there wasn't metal flakes or pieces in it when I drained the fluid. It should go back and be smooth when all back together. The clutch is 2-3 years old and the master and slave cylinder is 6 months old.

that looks like a pretty healthy transmission.

where in the tranny is this bolt? that's super weird that they use a bolt that can break inside the transmission..

I'm assuming it requires a trans teardown in order to fix? what a nightmare.

yea. manual transmissions arent a huge deal to pull apart. the hardest part is removing them from the truck

I changed the clutch out a couple years ago and it was still fresh in my mind. It helped separate from the engine much easier this time. It was a fight last time I lowered it. Thankfully the truck sits high enough that I didn't have to jack it up to get it out from under the truck.

I don't have a press so I'm thankful I didn't have to tear into them.
