Those grounds look pretty corroded to me.

I popped it out. Operated it multiple times and there did not appear to be any issues with it. It engaged and disengaged smoothly.

I will have some time later this week to clean them up. Would the body ground on the rear bed/frame be potential causes? If so does anyone have the diagram? Might as well check those too.

I wouldn't think so but it certainly wouldn't hurt to clean them.

How did you clean and lubricate your brake light sensor. Did you take it apart, clean it with compressed air? Did you use a silicone spray lubricant?

I just sprayed lube around the plunger and worked it in. Fixed it temporarily but lights are coming back on randomly. I ordered a new switch.

ABS and trac control lights came back - I removed the brake light switch and sprayed wd-40 into every crevice and crack on the switch. NO More dash lights !!!
This is just a temporary fix till the new switch shows up but it is definitely a brake light switch problem - light have been out for 2 days so far.

I took out the brake light switch and lubricated it well. Unfortunately this didn’t fix my current issue.

I had time to clean up a few grounds under the hood. I will have to wait till tomorrow to see if this has an effect. If not I will work on the other grounds.

I've had the same two lights come on twice over the past week. Haven't noticed any other issues while they are on. The only change I've made recently is installing a hardwired dash cam. 47K miles. Time to start digging.

Hate to beat a dead horse but may try replacing the brake light switch...relatively cheap and worst-case scenario you'll have an extra one.

If the brake light switch wasn't working you wouldn't be able to shift out of park (switch stuck off) or the brake lights would be staying on (switch stuck on), also a bad brake light switch would not affect the other systems the OP is having issues with (speedometer, backup camera, inverter, 4wd, etc). For all that to be affected at once it sure suggests a main power or ground feed issue, with it being intermittent the problem is testing everything when it is acting up.

Would running a temporary ground help in troubleshooting this issue? In others words running a jumper cable from the battery negative to the necessary ground points to see if this will eliminate the issue and identify where the ground might be weak.

I haven’t had much time to troubleshoot. Here is an added detail. Yesterday it was cold here, upper 20’s. First start all the lights started flashing. I drove it a ways and then parked it for about 5 hours. Upon starting it again had all of the dash lights flashing. This is the first time this has occurred twice in the same day. It could be that it sat for 5 hours. One added observation is that when the dash lights were flashing the head and fog lights were slightly brighter..

Have you tried disconnecting the battery cables for several minutes ? Also I would trace the battery cables to check for damage. Try a different battery if you have one available to try.

I have disconnected the battery, checked the cables and tested the battery through the starting process. I have not tried a different battery.
