Google leads me to believe it's a perfume/scent chemical.

 

Ahhh well it does look like Grandma’s perfume bottle! Hahahaha

 

Basically what gives old lady perfume the floral scent

 

such an epic bottle.

 

Frey Ranch is beautiful or Lot 40 has a distilling process printed on it which I really like too

 

It's really tasty. I do need to track down the cask strength version.

its not exactly whiskey.... but its alcohol & i make this every year at the holidays.

gonna share my Xmas punch recipe with you guys.... its pretty popular & the wife is having me make a batch to give to her coworkers & my SIL at the family get together.

here we go:

750ml of Everclear or 151 of some type.
750ml of Captain Morgan spiced rum 100proof
1 gal spiced apple cider
1qt of apple juice (no concentrate)
2 cups brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
10 lg cinnamon sticks

bring everything but the booze to a simmer, then let cool.
add the alcohol & stir it up.
this makes 10 quarts & a cinnamon stick goes in each quart jar.

enjoy!

note: this has very little alcohol taste to it..... but its pretty friggin potent. about 8 ounces of this will set most people right.

 

Oh man almost like a more fun apple cider. we do a Gluewhein... okay I say we, I mean occasionally I make for Christmas.
¾ cup water
¾ cup white sugar
(3 inch) cinnamon stick
2 medium oranges, chopped in half and squeezed into the pot
10 whole cloves, stabbed into the orange rind then thrown in
1 (750 milliliter) bottle red wine ( usually what's on sale that I actually would sip anyway, but nothing expensive because i like people but not willing to blow a ton for something that I'm sure I'm cooking some alcohol out of)

 

we call it apple pie moonshine in my family

 

What do you think of it? I was gifted a bottle of their straight rye. I've only had the neck pour and wasn't impressed. It's been sitting for a while now so I'll revisit it soon.

 

It’s ok, not one of my go to. I’ll probably bring it out when I’m sharing a bottle with a couple of our regular guest's.

It’s a school night I thought I’d take it easy.

 

When I can't decide I always go back to what I enjoy.

 

I did not really like it on the first pour either. I went back a couple weeks ago and it matched up with my palate a little better.
