Good Sunday everyone! Hope y’all’s day is going great. Ended up finding sometime to pop in my Sparco r100 V2’s“my lady was so nice enough to surprise me with, yep she’s a keeper, I know” with her help and some proper prep the install went pretty smoothly for the most part, besides the slide rails being ultra lubed up with grease from Sparco but no complaint's. Should mention I have the 60/40 factory split. Here are some pictures of right before and after the install. When I get it in some better lighting I’ll take some cleaner pictures. Much peace fellow Taco lovers . ✌️

I installed what might be one of the last OE seat belts for a '98 regular cab in Oak.

I added the belt to my cart at McGeorge/Ourisman a few weeks ago. Checked back later and saw that the part had changed to "Discontinued" on every major Toyota parts site. It was still in my cart at Ourisman, so I immediately checked out. I was a bit surprised to actually get it.

Nice! What are you using to secure the bike upright?

Ya I've heard other people say that too so I definitely plan to remove the OE stuff while it's all torn apart.

I really only wanna do this once because I hate stripping interior stuff. I was contemplating taking out the entire dash and doing the firewall for the reasons you mentioned. How much of a nightmare is pulling the dash?

It’s not too bad - and you’ll be able to clean out your blower motor and ac evaporator which collects leaves and dirt.

The dry ice trick for removing the stock sound deadening works perfect. Also removing the dash is cake, removing the HVAC kinda sucks though

Does doing that mean I have to recharge the AC?

Sounds kinda sounds like fun if it works as well as in the videos I've seen of it haha

You can get everything out and leave the AC box in if you want, its harder to work around but it does move a bit

I have a strut that runs from the top of the swing arm to the bike's top tube. The strut is adjustable to accomodate different top tube angles and heights.

Pretty straightforward. The hardest part is pulling it out the door frame lol. You undo all front panels, bolts, screws, and then there are 4 (?) plastic pins at the back clipping it in, you just yank it straight back towards you

has anyone used the aluminum crush washers on their rear diff as opposed to the steel ones? I had a heck of a time finding the proper crush washers from parts stores. I bought 5 aluminum crush washers to do the tcase, tranny and the drain plug on the rear diff. I guess I could order the proper parts from the dealer. I just wonder if I should bother having any anxiety about aluminum on the diff bolts.

That's all I've ever used, no leaks from the plugs ever

The OEM washer has a domed top to it. I'm not sure if it does anything special, but I've bought this set from this seller twice now, with no complaints:

I installed 1” wheel spacers all around to remedy the Addco #656 sway bar that was kissing the sidewall of the rear passenger side tire. Just a little too tight of a fit for my taste. Addco offered to squeeze the bar down a bit for me but removing it reinstalling it and sending it back would have been a pain.

Tires are 255/70/16 on late model OEM Tacoma alloy wheels.

Next project will be the PSI fender flares kit.
