Hate wind storms, and it's worse when there's water with it. @BananaMan have you grown gills yet?

Jesus dude, sorry you're going through that!

Are you thinking about going with a metal roof now? That's what I plan on going with in the future, although my roof right now is a nice 40 year architectural shingle that was replaced in I want to say 2012.

Thankful to have not lost power and to only have minor debris in the yard. I'm sure I'll see damage as I venture out today.

I've wanted to since we bought the house, but a metal roof will run me about 20-25k, and I don't think my homeowners insurance will replace this shingle roof for a metal one.

    Holy shit! o_O

Metal roof's are actually cheaper around here. Although my roof is super simple and requires very little flashing.

I hope it's the only damage, not just the only visible damage. Water damage is scary shit.

I'm about to make the cheapest roof possible. Tarps and some 1x3 strapping.

Good luck. Do be careful. We don't need your next post to be pics of your busted leg in an ambulance.

No damage here cept a small puddle in the basement.
Weather guy said wind gusts ended up being 60+mph here.
Between last weeks storm and yesterday we had about 9 inches of rain. Ground is pretty much saturated I'd say.

At least with one of those there is a chance they put you on drugs, and there's a chance the EMT is hot, so....

If you push the button on the right, it means you'll still have to push the button on the left. Can't climb a roof with broken legs to finish the job

Yes, but you'll be on drugs and possibly have a hot EMT to keep you company. Money well spent, no?
