    Strange isn’t it?
Exactly what I thought too, until I got a new set of 33s, then all the rubbing began.
It doesn’t make sense why it’s there, but oh well.
I remember that, exactly why I told Jack to watch out for it cause it’s more BS, lol.

What are all you third geners using for oil for diff changes and xfer case changes. Looking to help my brother with his over his winter break. 2021 4x4 (pro) manual.

I use Mobil1 75w-90 with the ls additive in my second gen. Looks like the washers/seals are the same between the second gen and third gen, but wasnt sure about the fluids.

Also, anyone know if the lexus front diff plug compatibility would be the same between the second and third gens?

No need for the ls additives, but whatever 75w90 will do for diffs. I don't think I've swapped tcase yet :anonymous: but whatever the ravenol equivalent to the Toyota secret sauce oil for that. The lexus plug does work, I have it on mine

Yeah I was gunna say for offroads you don’t need the lsd magic goo. That goes for anything with the locker.

I swear last time I did mine, I couldn’t find it without the ls additive in it already. A couple people told me it wouldn’t hurt anything so I ran it. Appreciate the quick confirm that the 75-90 will work along with the plug.

I use mobile one. I think. Whatever 75-90 comes in bags, the bags make life so easy.

I have a cheap hf pump that makes it easy enough if we cant find bags. Did you run the same in your xfer case? Matt mentioned something fancy sounding, and the third gen write up i saw just mentioned the toyota stuff.

Ravenol, you can buy a kit to do front, rear diff and transfer case. Or just a kit for the transfer case which meets the facny yota specs.

I usually buy from these guys.

:spy: yeaaaaaah my tx case and front are at 70k and haven't been touched. Springtime fluids is going to be a big thing for me. Pretty much every fluid in the truck is being drain and filled. BUT I plan to just use the same mobile one 75W-90 bags. The rear is doable without, I just got them just 'cuz. The front and tx case really benefit from the bags.

You need to try the old soda bottle and length of fuel line trick.
Drill a hole in the cap for fuel line and a small hole for blow gun. Pressure blows the oils right in there. Just gotta be easy on the pressure
