    Using the Holley terminator system. And it doesn’t communicate with any of the Toyota stuff at all actually. Really don’t have any ECU’s to worry about.

    Base file on from the tuner. Purrs right along.

    1 small issue, I pinched my trans vent tube between the body and trans and when I filled the trans it just puked the fluid out the dipstick. Gotta figure out how to unpinch it with the least amount of work. Maybe drop the tail end of the trans a few inches. Oops. 2 steps forward one step back.

    Should there be enough flex in the engine mounts, dropping the trans cross-member should be easy enough.

    Vent tube unpinched. Got the heater hoses on, engine cross over and resi’s mounted, windshield washer lines ran and plumbed. This thing is all wrapped up. 454 is gonna be picking it up next week for me since it’s too wide for my 90” trailer.

    The gentleman I sold my original 4.0 V6 to took the engine apart finally and lo and behold. Massive hole in my oil pump. You can actually see the chain marks on it too. Looks like a tensioner failure. Maybe vvti failure. Maybe chain stretched so huge. Maybe all 3. But that’s why my engine blew. Oil pump failure.

    Unfortunately they are super risky. You might try going to a local automotive paint & body supply shop and talking to the guys at the counter. They will probably know some great painters that either have small shops or even work at home and do great work for reasonable rates.
